Almost 250 knives and dangerous weapons have been removed from the streets of Merseyside as part of a national week of action. Operation Sceptre ran from the 13th to the 19th of November as part of a national effort to target those carrying weapons and prevent knife related offences.
Thefts of batteries from Voi scooters across Liverpool have racked up a reported cost of more than half a million pounds. Thieves targeted more than 700 e-scooters throughout the city region. Six people were arrested on Monday after batteries from the scooters were taken without permission.
Ricky Tomlinson is to return to the stage in a musical comedy that celebrates the best of Irish culture. The actor and comedian will star as himself in Irish Annie. The production tour will tour the UK and Ireland with a special homecoming night at Liverpool Olympia on Saturday, 4th May.
