00:33 Gupta, Havildar Abdul Majid, Lance Naik, Sanjay Bisht and Paratrooper Sachin Laur.

00:47 Earlier in the day, two terrorists, a top Lashkar-e-Taiba or LAT commander and his associate

00:53 were also killed in the encounter.

00:55 According to security officials, the LAT commander, identified by the code name Kadi, had been

01:01 active in the Rajouri-Poonch region with his group for the past year.

01:06 Officials reported that he was gunned down in a fierce gun battle in the Bajimal area

01:10 of Dharamsal in the Rajouri district.

01:13 He was also believed to be the mastermind behind the terrorist attack in Dangri and

01:17 Kandi.

01:18 He was deployed in the area to revive terror activities in the region.

01:22 Kadi's associate has also been killed in the encounter and their mortal remains have

01:27 been retrieved by security officials.

01:31 The police said that the encounter started on Wednesday between terrorists and joint

01:35 forces of the army and the J&K police in the Bajimal area of Dharamsal following a cordon

01:40 and search operation.

01:42 Police said that four army personnel, including two captains, were killed and three others

01:47 were injured during the fighting in Rajouri district.

01:50 They added that a major and two jawans were among the injured army personnel and they

01:55 were shifted to the Army's command hospital in Udhampur.

01:58 The firing in the region of Rajouri district resumed on Thursday morning following an overnight
