00:00 Russian officials are struggling to subdue Russian hysteria around Ukrainian operations
00:09 in the east bank of Kherson region.
00:12 Russian defence minister claimed that Russian forces prevented all Ukrainian attempts to
00:17 conduct successful amphibious operations in the Kherson direction.
00:22 Now the Institute for the Study of War says Shoygu's statement is likely an attempt to
00:26 downplay some Russian newblogger's concerns over Russia's inability to decisively repel
00:32 Ukrainian attacks on the east bank of the Dnipro river, but is unlikely to calm the
00:37 ever-growing complaints in the Russian information space.
00:41 Russian newbloggers continue to acknowledge a Ukrainian presence in the east bank of Kherson
00:46 region and complain that Russian forces are unable to suppress Ukrainian operations in
00:51 the area.
00:52 Russian sources claim that Ukrainian forces continue to hold positions in and near Krynka,
01:00 it is right there, and also near the Antonivsky road bridge, it is right here, and a small
01:07 railway bridge which is six kilometres east of the Antonivsky bridge here.
01:18 Now the UK defence ministry says the fighting around Krynka is on a smaller scale than some
01:23 major battles of the war, but will be considered highly unfortunate by Russian leaders.
01:30 Russia withdrew from the west bank of the Dnipro river a year ago, almost certainly
01:34 aiming to hold Ukrainian forces west of the river, keep the sector quiet and free up Russian
01:41 forces elsewhere.
