President Biden has hailed what he called "substantial progress" after four hours of talks with China's leader Xi Jinping, on the fringes of a global trade summit in San Francisco.
The two leaders found common ground on a range of issues - although less so over Tawan, as Xi insisted that Chinese reunification was "unstoppable".
