June Stearns - album River of regret 1969

American country singer and guitarist Agnes June Stearns from Albany, Kentucky. During the late 60's Stearns could be considered to be one of the ladies-in-waiting for the Country Queen crown. From 1960 to 1965 she was member Mr Roy's Smoky Mountain Gang, appearing at Grand Ole Opry and on live dates, as well as at the Louisiana Hayride. In 1967 she released some singles with Lefty Frizzell as Agnes & Orville. From 1968 on she released a series of single as soloist and album as duo with Johnny Duncan and in 1969 her debut album "River of regret" and noved from Columbia label to Decca, where she score with three singles. Since then, Stearns has faded from public limelight and the music scene.
