00:28 Once upon a time, a springtime, as a matter of fact a nighttime, a certain flock of sheep had a visit from old Mr. Stork.

00:52 Well here we are, pardon me, I mean here we are now, please don't crowd each other.

01:01 Pick out the ewe that you like best and she will be your mother.

01:28 Come on you lazy little lamb, it's time you were awake.

01:32 Oh goodness me, that's not a lamb, oh there must be some mistake, where am I?

01:37 Leopards, lizards, oh dear, lynxes, wrong thing, lambs, llamas, oh how did this happen to me?

02:01 Lambert, well that's no lamb at all, Lambert is a lion, South Africa, oh goodness me, I've got to do some flying.

02:10 Come Lambert, pardon me, I beg your pardon, sorry, sorry, oh Mrs. Sheep, I'm afraid there's been a slight bungle.

02:22 I'll take that vicious little brute and drop him in the jungle.

02:31 Well goodness, heavens to Betsy, all right, let her have it, let her have anything she wants, for heaven's sakes.

02:44 Well the next morning when the sun rose, the sheep rose, and all the little lambs were being tidied up by their mothers.

02:53 And Lambert there, just look at the little guy, why he could hardly wait to run and jump and gamble with his brothers.

03:09 Uh-uh, you're right, there's something wrong.

03:13 [Meowing]

03:17 The other lambs all laughed at him and teased him with a song.

03:20 Lambert, you can't even baa, you can't even bleat, your ears are too big and so are your feet.

03:29 Lambert, your tail is too short and so is your wool, there isn't enough for one bad fool.

03:40 Lambert, the sheepish lion, Lambert is always trying to be a wild and woody sheep.

03:49 Lambert, the sheepish lion, little lambs all love to put their heads on a stone.

03:57 Lambert thought that he could make a dozen lambs alone, while the other lambs all gathered round to watch this funny bout.

04:08 Ha ha ha ha, he wanted to be counted in.

04:14 But he was counted out.

04:19 Lambert, the sheepish lion, Lambert is always trying to be a wild and woolly sheep.

04:28 Lambert, the sheepish lion, the little lambs got Lambert's goat.

04:33 He was a nervous wreck, he had to hide behind his maw to save his little neck.

04:42 He couldn't baa and he couldn't butt, at last poor Lambert knew.

04:47 He hated to admit that he was yellow through and through.

04:57 Time changes everything.

05:00 The little spring lambs were sheep by fall.

05:03 And Lambert's maw, oh was she proud of him, because she had the biggest sheep, a ewe, a lamb, a mutton, isn't he huge?

05:19 However, he's still the butt of all their jokes and takes it on the chin.

05:24 But he's not ferocious like a sheep, but he has a sheepish grin.

05:35 One night the sheep were fast asleep.

05:43 Lambert woke up with a fright, for he had heard an awful sound.

05:51 And saw an awful, awful sight.

05:54 A hungry wolf had found the flock.

05:57 Lambert was petrified.

06:22 Mama!

06:24 Lambert!

06:32 He couldn't baa, he couldn't butt.

06:35 He was big, but he was yellow.

06:53 But when he saw this gruesome sight, and heard his mother crying, something snapped inside of him.

07:24 Lambert's mother is so proud, and the sheep have changed their tune.

07:31 Lambert, the sheepish lion.

07:35 Lambert, there's no denying, now he's a wild and wooly sheep.

07:44 Instead of a sheepish, wailing and weepish, little, goofy, sheepish lion.

07:51 Oh, and incidentally, don't worry about that hungry wolf.

07:54 He has a place to cling.

07:56 He's not going to starve, because that bush has berries every spring.
