The story is the most extensive and most ordered of the Quranic stories that a special form has been used in its exposition. The story of Prophet Joseph (AS) bears resemblance to the methods used in normal stories and follows the special manner of stories.
Prophet Joseph (P) before falling into the trap of his brothers' jealousy, was his father's spoiled child. Not only did he not have a special occupation, but he always accompanied his father as a result of the fear he felt for the life of his son. He did not follow his brothers when they took the flock to graze.
After having obtained salvation, he dedicated himself to serving the king in his palace until, after the period of his detention ended and a special situation arose, he came to occupy the position of administration of the government's public assets. Under the title of "effective and honest administrator" he for years administered the great country of Egypt.
It is evident that in a situation like this he does not have time nor does he find a favorable situation to dedicate himself to other matters such as livestock or agriculture.
