00:00 This is the story of the battle to conquer land.
00:09 It changed everything for life on our planet.
00:29 We are doing plastic previs, so sort of a previsualisation for episode 3 of Life on Our Planet.
00:36 We're using our knowledge of how creatures interact and how we would film them
00:40 to try and make these creatures as believable as possible.
00:43 I've put gimbals on everything from a 4x4 to speedboat, even an elephant.
00:47 And now, Lego. Pretty cool.
00:52 These guys are going to look wicked in a line, I think.
00:54 We're sort of revealing them from behind themselves, so we see the first scuto.
00:59 And as we come past, you see the next one, the next one, and there's a big line of them.
01:04 We've got a cryptic introduction of Gorgo.
01:06 Okay, rolling.
01:08 The sort of stuff you'd try and do with a tiger or a polar bear, that sort of sense tracking, slow motion.
01:16 You start to glimpse the creature. I think one of the coolest creatures in the series.
01:25 Right, should we do the fight scene?
01:27 Yeah.
01:29 So we get her into cover first, so we can see her but they can't see her.
01:35 Now she's watching, so she stops and waits and waits.
01:39 We need to be reactive to this, so it's like, when she moves, maybe I pull out or do something
01:43 like you would with a lion about to pounce, you maybe give it a bit of space.
01:50 And then the little one at the end, she picks.
01:55 And then she rushes out and grabs it there.
02:01 They swing round each other.
02:03 Yeah.
02:08 Maybe the scooter saw goes for her, she's a bit scared.
02:14 And then make the killer blow.
02:25 Done. Easy.
02:26 Now I've just got to film it.
02:29 This may not look remarkable, but it will change everything for life on our planet.
