00:00 I'm very happy to report that beyond the formalities of these exchanges, President
00:11 Hoth and I had a very productive and interesting discussion on the mechanisms and the modalities
00:20 that we, with the experience of His Excellency in international affairs, the many suggestions
00:29 and mechanisms that he brought to light, that can be of use to the Philippines when it comes
00:36 to the challenges that we are presently facing in the issues that are regarding the South
00:42 China Sea or as we refer to it, the West Philippine Sea.
00:47 And this is, this is with gratitude that we also have received the expressions of support
00:56 from the President for the Philippines in terms of the rules, our adherence to rules-based
01:06 international law, to UNCLOS, and of all of the different issues that we are facing, geopolitical
01:17 issues that we are facing around the world.
01:21 Once again, the experience of the President has shown what the Philippines can do to further
01:28 our discussion and our argument as to the continued adherence of all parties to a rules-based
01:38 system and international law.
01:41 And for that, I thank him very much.
01:44 We took the opportunity to study our existing platforms of cooperations and of partnerships,
01:51 as well as we discussed matters of great importance to both our nations, particularly in the fields
01:57 of political cooperation and in people-to-people exchanges.
02:03 The President and I committed to direct our respective ministries to further the negotiations
02:08 in following fields, to reconvene the policy consultations that are hosted by Timor-Leste
02:15 in the near future.
02:16 There are many aspects to that consultation that will further the relations between our
02:26 two countries.
