00:56 Today's topic is Khatamat-ul-Muhakakeen, Umdat-ul-Mudakakeen
01:02 Imam Syed Muhammad Amin bin Umar Abideen Shami Hanafi, may Allah have mercy on him
01:09 who passed away in 1252 AH and a few of his writings.
01:13 Imam Shami is also known as Imam Shami and Ibn-e-Abideen.
01:20 In our subcontinent, Pakistan and India, you are mostly called Imam Shami or Allama Shami.
01:27 In Arab countries, you are mostly called Imam Ibn-e-Abideen.
01:32 We have already done a program on Imam Shami.
01:37 We have already done two episodes on Imam Shami, one on Ep-3 and the other on Ep-25.
01:46 Today we are doing another episode and we will discuss the topic that we did not discuss in the previous two episodes.
01:53 You can say that Ep-3 was part 1, Ep-25 was part 2 and today it is part 3 on Imam Shami.
02:02 And God willing, there will be no repetition of content.
02:05 We have already discussed about Imam Shami that he is called Imam Ibn-e-Abideen because
02:12 his ancestors, the fifth generation, Salahuddin, used to call him Abideen because of his worship.
02:22 After him, his family was called Ibn-e-Abideen.
02:26 This family was called Usrat-un-Abideen.
02:29 After him, his family was called Ibn-e-Abideen.
02:35 This family is still living in Damascus.
02:45 The scholars of the Ummah have praised Imam Shami.
02:49 You can see that the books that Imam Shami has taught,
02:53 where there is a specialization in Fiqh, i.e. Mufti course,
02:59 many of his books are included in the Dars, Nisab, and in the Muqararaat-e-Dirasiya.
03:06 Especially his book which is called Raddu-ul-Muhtar, Fatawa-e-Shami, and Hashiyah-e-Ibn-e-Abideen,
03:13 is included in the Nisab, Muqararaat-e-Dirasiya, and in the Arab and non-Arabic books.
03:20 And perhaps, there is a student of Fiqh, or a scholar of Fiqh, or a Mufti,
03:26 who has a connection with the Fiqh-e-Hanafi, and this book is not present in his treasure of books.
03:31 All the scholars who came after him, and his followers, have accepted the superiority of this book.
03:38 And the books that are placed on both sides,
03:41 are the same Hashiyah-e-Ibn-e-Abideen, which is called Fatawa-e-Shami.
03:44 We have displayed some volumes of it, on the right and on the left.
03:48 Now, these 26 volumes have been published since the evening,
03:51 so obviously, they cannot be kept here.
03:54 But we have kept some volumes on both sides, for the blessing,
03:58 so that our viewers can also see, visit, and develop an interest that these are the books of our ancestors,
04:03 and we have to take guidance from these books.
04:05 When Imam Shami Rahimullah was born,
04:08 before his birth, when he was still in his mother's womb,
04:12 his mother was given a blessing by his uncle, Sheikh Saleh Abideen Rahimahullah.
04:19 He was a very pious and pious elder,
04:21 he was a follower of Allah, and his Wilayat was discussed,
04:24 and he was famous as Sahib-e-Kashf.
04:26 At that time, he gave a blessing to his mother,
04:29 that your son will be born, and you have to name him Muhammad Ameen.
04:34 So, as a result of this blessing, it became clear,
04:37 that when he was born, he was given a proper cradle,
04:41 and on his saying, his name was named Muhammad Ameen.
04:44 And when he was given a cradle, he said these words,
04:48 "I have placed the blessing of the Sayyids on your head."
04:55 Because your family was a Sayyid family,
04:58 you are a Sayyid of Imam Hussain,
05:00 you are one of the children of Imam Hussain.
05:03 So, we will discuss a little about the parents of Imam Shami Rahimullah,
05:08 because his mention was not mentioned in the previous episodes.
05:11 The father of Imam Shami Rahimullah,
05:13 the name of your father was Hazrat Umar bin Abdul Aziz Rahimahullah.
05:18 He was not a scholar, he was a merchant,
05:20 but he was a very pious and pious elder,
05:22 he was famous, he loved the scholars,
05:25 he loved the Fouqara, the scholars,
05:27 and he loved their knowledge too.
05:30 He himself could not acquire knowledge,
05:32 but he gave a lot of attention to the proper education and training of Imam Shami Rahimullah.
05:37 And the work that Imam Shami Rahimullah has done,
05:40 the research, writing, and compilation,
05:43 your father Majid has a big role in this work,
05:46 he has played a big role in this,
05:48 because he has provided you with a lot of books,
05:51 and he gave you open permission.
05:53 He said to you, "Whatever book you understand,
05:56 whatever you want, you take it,
05:58 the money for it is my responsibility,
06:00 because from the biography of our ancestors,
06:02 what I have passed away, you are reviving.
06:04 So I will provide you with whatever you want.
06:07 "Fajadaka Allahu khairan ya wala deetu"
06:09 O my son, may Allah grant you a good place,
06:12 in reviving the biography of our ancestors,
06:14 that is, the scholarly biography.
06:16 So that is why in your library,
06:18 very rare types of books have been collected,
06:20 with the blessings of your father Majid,
06:22 he has bought books from different places,
06:24 and has given you books,
06:26 published books, and he has also given you manuscripts,
06:30 and also written copies.
06:33 So when the father of Imam Shami,
06:35 became old,
06:37 Imam Shami used to love him very much,
06:39 he loved him very much,
06:41 because of being a father,
06:43 and also because of his support in the matter of knowledge,
06:46 and also because of education and training.
06:48 So when your father Majid passed away,
06:50 after his death, it was your custom,
06:53 that every night before going to sleep,
06:55 you would recite the Holy Quran,
06:57 and you would give your father the reward
06:59 for all your good deeds.
07:02 A month passed,
07:04 and after a month you saw your father in a dream,
07:06 that your father is very happy in his dream,
07:08 and he said to you,
07:10 "O my son, may Allah reward you well,
07:12 for all the good deeds you are doing for me."
07:16 "O my son, may Allah reward you well,
07:19 for all the good deeds you are doing for me."
07:24 That is, the good deeds you send me,
07:26 I am receiving them,
07:28 and their blessings are being manifested,
07:30 and they are being manifested.
07:32 Similarly, you loved your father,
07:34 and you loved your mother,
07:36 and your mother also loved you very much.
07:38 Your mother's name was Atika,
07:42 with the 'A' and the 'T',
07:44 the 'T' with the sword.
07:46 So Hazrat Atika (R.A)
07:48 is one of the children of Sheikh Muhib.
07:51 First I will mention about your grandmother,
07:54 so that her connection with your father is manifested,
07:57 and then I will come to your mother.
07:59 Your grandmother,
08:01 the mother of your father,
08:03 is the daughter of Sheikh Muhibbi (R.A).
08:05 Sheikh Muhibbi was a very famous scholar,
08:07 historian, and author.
08:09 Sheikh Muhammad Ameen bin Fazlullah
08:11 Muhibbi Hanafi (R.A)
08:13 His book, Khulasatul Asar,
08:15 is published in Ayaan-ul-Qarnil Hadi Ashar,
08:17 it is very famous.
08:19 Your grandmother is from his family.
08:21 And your mother Atika,
08:23 is a very famous muhaddith,
08:25 Hafiz Dawood Al Qattan.
08:27 She was from his family,
08:29 her family was from his family.
08:31 And her own father,
08:33 i.e. Imam Shami (R.A)
08:35 is the father of your mother,
08:37 and your grandfather,
08:39 is Hazrat Imam Allama Muhammad bin Abdul Hai Dawoodi (R.A)
08:41 He was also a follower of Allama Abdul Ghani Nabulusi (R.A)
08:43 and a famous scholar of Shafi'i jurisprudence.
08:45 And his books on Shafi'i jurisprudence
08:47 are also very famous.
08:49 Similarly, your mother's uncle,
08:51 is also Allama Abdul Muhammad Abdul Hai Dawoodi (R.A)
08:53 His father's grandfather was Muhammad bin Abdul Hai,
08:55 and he is Muhammad Abdul Hai.
08:57 So your mother's uncle,
08:59 Muhammad Abdul Hai Dawoodi (R.A)
09:01 was also a very famous Shafi'i jurist.
09:03 And he also has a lot of books on Shafi'i jurisprudence.
09:05 And his books are also present as a souvenir.
09:07 And his name is also taken in very good words.
09:09 So your mother Atika,
09:11 was the daughter of Imam Shami (R.A)
09:13 in her mother's life.
09:15 When your mother passed away,
09:17 your mother,
09:19 who was very close to you,
09:21 did not ban you,
09:23 did not curse you,
09:25 like ignorant women do.
09:27 Rather, she expressed her gratitude
09:29 and patience.
09:31 And when someone asked you
09:33 or asked you anything,
09:35 you would say, "Alhamdulillah
09:37 y'aala jamee'il ahwal"
09:39 That is, in all situations,
09:41 Allah is the one who is praised.
09:43 She was patient and grateful.
09:45 And she would read Surah Ikhlas
09:47 from one Friday to the next,
09:49 and would send the reward of that
09:51 to Imam Shami (R.A)
09:53 Now, see, a mother is a mother.
09:55 See the style of love of a mother.
09:57 Imam Shami (R.A) himself is a great author,
09:59 he himself is a great scholar,
10:01 he is a Sayyid, and he is famous among the people of Allah.
10:03 He himself is the trustee of Qadri and Naqshbandi relations.
10:05 That is, you are the
10:07 the possessor of the knowledge of the outward and the knowledge of the inner.
10:09 And despite this,
10:11 how much he cares for their hereafter,
10:13 and how much he is taking care of them,
10:15 that even after their death,
10:17 he is sending them the reward of Surah Ikhlas
10:19 from one Friday to the next,
10:21 one hundred thousand times.
10:23 This high level of reward is also known by this.
10:25 And this is also a means of
10:27 treating the children with kindness.
10:29 And how our mothers of the ancestors
10:31 used to behave like this,
10:33 this is also a lesson for us.
10:35 And when Imam Shami (R.A)
10:37 was alive,
10:39 and when he was studying this book,
10:41 "Hashiyah ibn Abideen, Fatawa Shami"
10:43 So, it is written in many books
10:45 that Imam Shami (R.A)
10:47 was so compassionate that he did not care about food.
10:49 So, your mother
10:51 used to forcefully give you food.
10:53 She used to forcefully feed you.
10:55 And you used to write in that condition also.
10:57 You used to do this work,
10:59 writing, writing,
11:01 and your mother used to give you food.
11:03 That is, she used to love you like this.
11:05 This also shows the love of your mother to you.
11:07 And with the knowledge of Imam Shami (R.A)
11:09 the desire,
11:11 the passion, the passion,
11:13 the passion for serving the religion,
11:15 and the knowledge of religious propagation,
11:17 that is also known.
11:19 So, when both of their parents
11:21 were mentioned,
11:23 may Allah bless their parents
11:25 with a long life.

11:29 that they gave such a gem to the Ummah.
11:31 We mentioned the teachers of Imam Shami (R.A)

11:39 the most beloved teacher of Imam Shami (R.A),
11:41 the most favorite teacher,
11:43 who was called my best teacher.
11:45 As the topic was written,
11:47 Imam Shami (R.A) also stated the conditions.
11:49 So, by reading those conditions,
11:51 he himself stated the conditions of Imam Shami (R.A).
