00:00 2004 Range Rover Vogue, obviously previously owned by Her Majesty the Queen,
00:08 ordered with various modifications, simple things such as grab handles to
00:14 the rear to enable her to get in and out easier as she didn't like being helped
00:18 so they were put in for her benefit. The colour was a colour of choice for the
00:23 Royal Family, sidesteps were also another addition for her specification, rear
00:28 switchgear in the back, privacy glass, there were also lights built into the
00:33 front, covert lights for security reasons but generally mechanically all original
00:40 and as it would have left the factory. Value is very difficult with something
00:44 like this, I would think a 2004 Range Rover you would pick up for a few
00:48 thousand pounds, the price wouldn't be a great amount I would think certainly
00:52 way under ten thousand pounds but the provenance and the history behind it
00:57 gets people involved, they love the intrigue and the value could grow
01:01 considerably, we'll find out on the day. We've put a guide price on of fifty to
01:06 sixty thousand pounds but it is a guide, that's only an opinion and we'll see
01:11 what it makes on November the 11th. They will have had access to several
01:16 vehicles but they will have had their choice vehicles and we believe that this
01:22 one moved between London and Balmoral for journeys and they used it in various
01:27 places around the country so it was obviously something that they enjoyed
01:32 using, if it was just used in one location that would sort of signify that
01:36 maybe it wasn't that much of interest but if they used it all the time maybe a
01:40 bit more interest. Oh we've got a video of her driving, yep she was sat in there
01:44 in the driving seat leaving the Royal Windsor Horse Show, yes it was
01:51 definitely her behind the wheel. I think it's just a special special car to find
01:54 something like this which my client did some while ago, there was no Royal
02:01 connection at that time, it was only a maybe, so he's done his homework and he
02:07 took quite some time to find video proof that it is the Queen's and his
02:12 enjoyment is doing that and not necessarily continual ownership, he's
02:17 ticked the box and he's had it for some while so because there is no definitive
02:22 measure that you can say a car was owned by the Royal Family, there is no specific
02:28 names on a logbook as such as we would have, so it's not that easy to find out
02:33 who physically owned them. So some of the modifications that this would have had
02:39 from you for the Royal Family and specifically for the Queen was the dog
02:43 guard, obviously for the corgis and then internally there were the internal grab
02:49 handles and the side steps because Her Majesty the Queen didn't like being
02:55 helped in, she wanted to do it on her own and also switch gear on the window so
02:59 she could control both windows left and right on the vehicle herself. Obviously
03:06 the colour Epsom Green and one other very interesting fact, you can clearly
03:11 see where at one time there would have been a mascot, a Labrador mascot that was
03:15 mounted on the bonnet, that has clearly been removed, although I do understand
03:18 there is a mascot to go with the car. So yeah, very interesting facts and certain
03:24 things that definitely point towards her ownership.
