00:00 Hello, we've seen some exceptionally wet weather over the past couple of days but it looks
00:04 like something a little bit more settled is on the way as we head through the rest of
00:08 the weekend. Low pressure still very much in charge through Saturday evening but slowly
00:12 clearing away towards the north as we head into Sunday, allowing a ridge of high pressure
00:15 to develop across much of the UK into Monday. However, it doesn't last long, low pressure
00:20 very much waiting in the wings as we head into the new working week, bringing some further
00:24 spells of wet and windy weather. Back to the here and now though, and that
00:28 heavy rain that we've seen across Scotland slowly clears its way towards the north overnight
00:33 Saturday and into Sunday morning, leaving a much drier picture across much of the UK.
00:37 Some showers pushing in across the western coast as we head through in the early hours
00:41 of Sunday morning but many places staying dry with plenty of clear skies and some patchy
00:45 mist and fog possible across parts of eastern England. Under those clear skies, a chillier
00:50 night than we've seen recently, many places dropping down into the single figures and
00:53 parts of Scotland we could see a touch of frost possible through the early hours.
00:58 So Sunday will start a much drier and brighter picture for most of us. Still some showers
01:02 pushing in across those western coasts but many places seeing a dry and bright start
01:06 to the day. Plenty of sunshine as well as we head through the afternoon. Some of those
01:10 showers perhaps pushing inland a little through Sunday afternoon but many places should be
01:14 staying dry. Still a little blustery across the very far north of Scotland but under those
01:18 clear skies and those brighter skies, plenty of sunshine around and feeling really pleasant
01:22 in that sunshine too. Highs of 15, maybe 16 degrees and the elsewhere temperatures generally
01:27 around average for the time of year. As we go through Sunday evening, any of those showers
01:33 particularly across parts of Wales and southern parts of England will slowly start to ease
01:36 overnight turning drier again with plenty of clear skies to start. Some high cloud pushing
01:41 up from the south bringing some scattered showers across parts of Northern Ireland into
01:44 Monday morning but those clear skies persisting across much of Scotland so turning chilly
01:49 here again with a bit more of a widespread frost into Monday morning. So temperatures
01:52 here dropping down into the low single figures but under that cloud across the south perhaps
01:56 just a little milder than we're seeing on Saturday night. So for many, Monday starts
02:02 a dry picture. Some showers continuing across parts of Northern Ireland and that high cloud
02:06 slowly pushes its way northwards as we head through the day on Monday but it should be
02:10 staying dry for most of us. The best of the sunshine across parts of Scotland through
02:14 Monday afternoon but later on Monday another band of rain pushes up from the south as we
02:19 head into the new working week. Temperatures here similar to today although perhaps feeling
02:24 a little fresher with some slightly stronger winds and elsewhere temperatures where we
02:28 would expect them for the time of year. That unsettled picture that we're seeing on Monday
02:32 is a set up for the rest of the week but you can keep up to date with that forecast via
02:37 our website and don't forget to follow us on social media. Bye bye.
