00:05 There's always been a lot of change, but there's one man who has stood by like a rock, Eric.
00:10 And of course, Brooke too, but we're here for Eric.
00:13 But now there's a significant change in this character.
00:16 I mean, yes, Eric has had his fair share of ups and downs, who doesn't write,
00:21 but now his life seems to be in permanent danger.
00:23 At least if they just killed him in a huff, we could expect a miracle,
00:27 but Eric's illness is physical and most probably permanent.
00:30 While we have seen a lot of characters come and go and even bid the legendary Susan Flannery as Stephanie Forster a goodbye,
00:38 it just seems too surreal to think Eric will be going away too.
00:41 I thought I'd see him for eternity.
00:44 At first, it was hand tremors and the tremors itself was so bad, but now it's coughing blood and that's never a good sign, especially when you're old.
00:54 While Eric started this line thinking it would be last and remain as his legacy after he retired,
00:59 it seems it's going to be real and not just a retirement thing.
01:02 Thinking Eric's gonna die is a little too much for us to handle.
01:06 And also John McCook seems to have signed three more years of contract.
01:10 So maybe it's not death, but a near-death experience.
01:14 Since he's having a fallout with his family, especially Ridge, maybe he needs this to reconnect.
01:20 We've thought about Eric getting poisoned though, since it makes the most sense if it's not a terminal illness that people his age get.
01:26 There are a lot of possibilities and maybe Eric's death by the illness makes the most sense.
01:32 Eventually, we all die anyway, so we can't expect Eric to be alive till the end of time.
01:38 Okay, now it's making me a little sad and I might go into existential crisis mode, so let's look at it the other way.
01:44 This is just a setback before Eric rises to the top again.
01:48 I mean, see this always happens to a character.
01:51 They have a significant downfall before rising to the top.
01:54 And Eric too feels like a failure.
01:57 His son looks down on him and so do a lot of other people.
02:00 So he needs to gain his power back and dominate the fashion world again.
02:04 So I vote on Eric emerging alive from this.
02:08 We may have to let him go one day, but today, tomorrow, or at least the coming three years is not the day.
