00:00 last week felt so surreal because I think our performance really came together last
00:05 week. It was our best one.
00:07 It was a big step forward, yeah.
00:09 Yeah, it was. It's so weird because sometimes with other things and you're on TV, you kind
00:13 of cringe watching yourself at certain things I've filmed in the past. I definitely couldn't
00:20 watch myself on other programmes that I've done. But on something like this, you actually
00:24 really want to watch yourself because it was so much fun and such...
00:28 Yeah, I see. After a week, she's the hardest... She pushes herself so hard. She's the best,
00:37 best student I ever had. You judge yourself so much, which is good in a way.
00:43 I think I have a bit more work to do. I'm not a dancer. I've literally never danced
00:50 in my life. I didn't even dance.
00:53 I was really the most malcoordinated individual.
00:57 Your growth, your transition. Let's talk about that. Your confidence has grown so much. Do
01:03 you feel like that? Do you feel like you've grown?
01:06 Literally so much. I look back at myself five years ago. I've never been the loudest person
01:15 in the room, the most confident person. That goes back a long way. It's what I talked about
01:19 in my documentary, especially my first documentary, Revenge Porn. People can kind of see probably
01:23 why I've never been the most confident person because of things that I've been through in
01:27 my life.
01:28 One of the things I've never been able to do and never felt confident in is dancing.
01:32 Even if it's literally just out with my friends, having a drink and dancing, I literally would
01:39 be like, "Hey!" like, "Seize up in the corner," because I just felt so not confident in my
01:46 own body and how it moves. I've watched this show since I was seven years old. I am probably
01:53 one of the biggest Strictly fans ever. My For You page, honestly, is always just Strictly
01:59 performances. It's always been a dream of mine to be on the show. I didn't actually
02:05 ever think it was possible. The fact that I'm here now, I can't give enough credit to
02:12 this man here because he has literally changed my life. He's not only teaching me to dance,
02:18 he's teaching me confidence in myself and to be able to express myself through my body,
02:23 which is something that I've literally never been able to do before and probably never
02:26 would have been able to do if it wasn't for Strictly and him.
02:30 What about an impression of each other? Can you do one for me?
02:33 Beautiful! Beautiful! That's what he does.
02:37 Mozzarella?
02:38 Your arms, mozzarella! Because sometimes I don't keep them stiff enough. He says, "Your
02:46 arms are like mozzarella." In the middle of the performance, he'll be like, "Mozzarella!"
02:49 And I'll be like, "Yep, sorry, yep, got it!"
02:53 Maybe when we need to leave, he'll be like, "Can we do one more? One more, please? Just
02:57 to make sure my brain... You know, my brain works like that!"
02:59 I do say that! My brain, my brain!
03:01 (laughing)
