This Morning 'will undergo a complete revamp' after Holly Willoughby's exit: ITV bosses cast the net to find 'the next Holly and Phil' in bid to 'bring back the chemistry of the show's halcyon days'

Bosses are said to be searching for 'the new Phil and Holly' to takeover the flagship morning show in the new year, and will meet with potential hosts 'until they find a pairing with the perfect chemistry.' The ailing programme has suffered a ratings decline in the aftermath of Holly's co-host Phillip Schofield coming off-air after he admitted to an 'unwise, but not illegal' affair with a younger male colleague. The daytime show took a fresh hit yesterday when Willoughby, its star for over 14 years, announced via Instagram that she would not be returning to its famous sofa. A show insider told The Sun: 'Holly's decision to leave has sent shockwaves through the corridors of power at ITV , but the feeling now is that change must be made - and this is the impetus needed.'
