00:00 nicely the arena
00:02 where we go with rang one of a scheduled six for this lightweight contest
00:22 between payment a party of Denmark and Pietro Caputo of Italy
00:26 McBarrie in the marvelous purple shorts
00:31 looking for a marvelous performance from him
00:36 three and a half thousand seats of capacity
00:41 steadily filling up as the fights have gone on we expect to be pretty much
00:45 capacity for the main fight later on
00:51 I'm going to start this from McBarrie
00:55 [Music]
00:58 that's right shine coming forward
01:21 very nice shot job
01:25 very nearly caught Caputo
01:41 nice cancer from McBarrie
01:44 just the tiniest pinch for the referee gets involved
01:53 this is they have done for all of the home fighters the crowd getting behind
02:09 at Barry Caputo ignoring all of it getting on with the job in hand here as
02:14 best he can
02:34 lightning-fast reflexes from both of these fighters
02:39 good cancer whatever McBarrie is doing Caputo is doing as well
02:46 seconds or so to go
03:00 [Music]
03:03 excellent first round he's moving around a bit nicely and he's waiting for him
03:24 being patient
03:28 if you had to give this to one fight or the other where you gonna score
03:53 you make it look effortless
03:57 it's all the hours of hard work
04:01 it's about all the hard all the hours of hard work in the gym and it's about
04:05 making sure you perform all the lines and putting all the practice in this way
04:12 ability to be switched on for two minutes three minutes
04:17 it's high intensity at its highest level where we go with the second round and
04:24 again it's just a flurry of punches trying to come in from both fighters
04:29 no respite for either
04:33 an opportunity not taken for Caputo
04:47 [Music]
04:50 [Music]
04:53 nowhere to go trying to get off the ropes
04:58 pressure on switch in South corner
05:04 [Music]
05:08 [Music]
05:11 [Music]
05:14 [Music]
05:17 [Music]
05:20 it's got very good lateral movement
05:27 so much so, he had to send himself to the floor
05:30 you see me now, you don't
05:33 very nicely maneuvered
05:36 it was
05:39 slippery as an eel
05:42 [Music]
05:45 last left for Macbary just finding a way
05:56 through
06:00 Caputo straight in
06:11 [Music]
06:14 Macbary trying to land the blows
06:28 slipping out the way
06:33 making it very hard for him to land cleanly
06:38 making that swing and there's nothing to land against
06:41 losing his balance going forwards
06:44 better round for Caputo
07:05 [Music]
07:08 another fascinating contest
07:22 you think that's enough in that round or
07:27 yeah
07:30 certainly Caputo gave everything he had but at times
07:34 every time he's backing him up he's slipping out the way
07:37 and turning and getting back out the way
07:40 didn't manage to land a couple but nothing meaningful
07:43 [Music]
07:56 if you're Caputo here
07:59 up against what Macbary's doing knowing how
08:02 his movement, how quickly he's moving etc
08:05 any change to what he needs to do in terms of how he's
08:08 I would target the body more
08:10 he's got such good head movement, the head moves the body doesn't
08:13 so yeah I would definitely go for the body more
08:17 because he's slipping out the way of all his punches to the head
08:20 so perhaps a little bit more tactical, a little bit more tactics required
08:25 from Caputo
08:27 certainly some posture adjustment which has been done
08:30 and away we go with the third round
08:33 you have to be careful of those, don't catch them around the back of the head
08:49 and then the ref saying "that's enough of that thanks"
08:54 [Music]
08:57 make the uppercut work
09:15 for Caputo
09:18 [Music]
09:21 both of them landing blows
09:45 [Music]
09:48 nearly landed on top of us then
09:58 moving on from boxing to some WWE
10:05 it's getting a bit scrappy now
10:12 a little bit loose at times from these two
10:15 and the ref just having a word with Caputo about it
10:19 it started earlier on didn't it when they were in those clinches and then
10:24 hitting each other a couple of times around the side
10:27 it's built and built as the referee's allowed it to go on
10:30 to the point where he's had to stop it
10:33 and again that's another one too
10:35 they're tied up and they're both still trying to hit each other around the side of the head
10:38 exactly, that guy definitely caught on the back of the head there
10:41 by the referee's talking to Caputo
10:44 that was more of a shot than anything
10:48 that guy definitely caught Caputo with that
10:56 it wasn't a shot that hurt him, it was just the way he manoeuvred him around as he punched him
11:03 his momentum as he was coming forward for him into the ropes
11:06 he's got to get back on the ropes
11:09 he's got to get back on the ropes
11:12 referee's having a go at that, no more dozy doze please young man
11:15 place your appointment
11:18 just a tad late but ok
11:22 another round down
11:26 and another close encounter
11:30 once again evidence of the way that Akbar is so good at getting out of the way
11:35 that was the one where he kind of caught on more with the ball
11:38 he's not on the side of the head but he's brushing the ball so much he's just made him look silly by moving out of the way
11:43 better rang from Caputo from your perspective Nina or not or is it more of the same?
11:59 pretty much the same I'd say
12:06 he's got to get back on the ropes
12:09 from Akbar's point of view he just keeps doing what he's doing, stay patient, nothing silly
12:18 yeah just needs to try and keep that distance a little bit better
12:21 it's high enough a bit more, getting a little bit scrappy at times
12:24 he's taken half a step back
12:27 and here we go, round 4
12:34 he's in and out so quickly
12:37 he's in and out so quickly
13:04 that one very nearly caught Akbar
13:07 have to be careful, that's a nice shot
13:17 landed the left very nicely
13:20 another good shot
13:34 I'll tell you what Caputo's landed that one
13:37 landed a good counter in the right hand there
13:40 tried again
13:48 lovely work when he goes in and out with his shots like that
13:51 he's just got to be careful of those counters
13:59 Barry saw that one coming, couldn't create the room he needed to get the counter
14:04 oh dear
14:12 he'll get a point deduction for that
14:15 he certainly will won't he
14:18 he was really apologetic there wasn't he once he got his own
14:23 oh sorry I didn't mean to
14:25 so yeah point deduction
14:27 I think he just got carried away at the moment
14:30 yeah it was so late
14:33 he's got a lot of work to do now with a point behind as well
14:47 oh
14:50 have to try and put that deduction behind him
15:02 carry on with what he's doing
15:03 try and find a way through something meaningful
15:06 try and rock that flower if you can
15:11 oh he's landed now
15:14 he definitely is
15:16 he might just be a little too late though as we're coming to the right to the very end of this round
15:20 trying to make up for that point deduction
15:23 oh what a shot
15:30 and saved by the bell for Caputo
15:33 he's found him round that wouldn't he
15:35 he really did didn't he
15:37 like a record
15:42 what a fascinating rang that one
15:45 we were talking about that and his ability to get in and get back out again
15:52 yeah does it very well
15:53 Caputo got nothing to go at that was a lovely shot wasn't it
15:56 should turn that round that
15:59 yeah Cayman's miles ahead now
16:08 Caputo definitely needs a look at to win now
16:12 he's got to be careful though hasn't he
16:13 he knows what he needs he knows the situation he's in he's up against it
16:17 and it doesn't mean he can just go
16:21 help a leather and go
16:23 because then he's on a hiding to nothing he's likely to be in trouble himself
16:26 he's still got to stay patient hasn't he
16:29 he's still got to stay disciplined
16:30 and try and find the way through
16:32 and at the same time perhaps throw a little bit of caution to the wind
16:35 difficult
16:37 as away we go then
16:40 with round five of a scheduled six
16:43 Akbari in front
16:45 in the purple shorts
16:47 Caputo with work to do
16:49 lovely deft encounter
17:00 Caputo's landing but then
17:05 Akbari's coming straight back with the counters
17:07 he's done it again he's tried to get in there
17:10 on the break and the crowd don't like it
17:12 Caputo not used to the slow way of doing things here in Denmark
17:26 [laughter]
17:27 he's been trying to land that for a few seconds
17:48 [crowd noise]
17:50 and again
17:59 those little blows coming in in the clinch
18:02 Caputo trying to have a little with the referee
18:12 and then the step by is trying to land a few blows
18:17 [crowd noise]
18:19 again great movement from Akbari
18:26 trying to get physical now and use his strength
18:30 and rough him up
18:32 [crowd noise]
18:34 he's always just chipping in a little bit isn't he Caputo
18:51 every time and then just a little shot here
18:53 little shot there
18:55 any little sneaky little shot he can get in
18:57 he's got a lot of them in
18:59 [crowd noise]
19:01 trying to get under the skin of Akbari
19:05 it's not working though
19:06 Akbari there you go another one
19:08 [laughter]
19:10 the point hasn't fazed him
19:13 oh shot to Akbari
19:20 he really felt that from Caputo
19:22 he's shrugging it off like nothing happened
19:25 he landed it and he ducked straight under it
19:27 and he can't, he's coming back
19:29 [bell rings]
19:30 good round for Akbari
19:33 round of applause for everybody watching
19:38 you've got to have that discipline haven't you as a fighter
19:47 when you've got somebody like that who's just sneaking in all these
19:50 not underhand but just pushing it
19:53 yeah you've just got to keep calm and not lose your head
19:56 it's not easy for a fighter to lose their head back
19:58 and get drawn into a fight
20:00 but he's sticking to his game plan
20:02 he's still boxing nicely on the back foot
20:04 so it's not getting to him
20:06 not only that as well
20:08 Caputo's been the one who's been told off
20:10 for the rabbit punch
20:12 he's told off, he's had a point deducted
20:14 and he's the one who's complaining to the ref
20:16 every, shaking his head every five seconds
20:18 and yet really employing complete focus
20:21 from playing with Akbari so far
20:24 he knows he's only got one round to go
20:26 he's just got to stay focused to get through this round
20:29 and come back victorious
20:31 well there we go then
20:33 with the sixth and final round
20:36 nice bit of respect there between them
20:38 it's always good to see the sporting spirit being shown
20:41 between the boxers and the athletes
20:44 [crowd noise]
20:46 I do really get a shake of the hair from Caputo
20:57 as he gets out of the clinch
20:59 [crowd noise]
21:01 well that's a good effort
21:25 and now Caputo trying to make something happen
21:27 trying to keep Akbari in the corner
21:29 Akbari doing well to get out of it
21:31 and send a few Caputos away
21:33 [crowd noise]
21:35 that's just a loss of balance
21:37 yeah he's just come rushing in again
21:40 and just moved out of the way
21:42 Caputo knows it's all or nothing now
21:51 he's trying to throw everything at Akbari
21:55 [crowd noise]
21:57 another late out of the clinch
22:11 just not quick enough from Caputo
22:18 Akbari was off balance going backwards with that
22:20 and he just couldn't land it
22:23 [crowd noise]
22:25 got the shoes to come out
22:35 that needs to be sorted out
22:39 [crowd noise]
22:43 [crowd noise]
22:45 that was kind of grueling
23:04 very physical fight
23:06 it really has hasn't it
23:08 there's been no let up really
23:11 [crowd noise]
23:13 Akbari has dealt with everything
23:15 that Pietro Caputo has thrown at him so far
23:18 countered well
23:21 stayed disciplined, stayed focused
23:23 [crowd noise]
23:26 trying to catch Caputo with the left
23:38 [crowd noise]
23:40 [bell rings]
23:50 well that brings us to the end of the bag
23:53 [crowd noise]
23:55 on which Peña Akbari will be really pleased
24:06 with the way it went
24:08 [crowd noise]
24:10 did you enjoy that one Nina?
24:21 yeah it was a good fight
24:23 it did get a little scrappy at times
24:25 Akbari showed lots of good lateral movement
24:28 as he came rushing in
24:30 he just kept making me miss moving out of the way
24:34 he had good fitness levels as well
24:36 it didn't look to be much of a difference
24:38 from the first round to the sixth round
24:40 in the way Akbari went about his business
24:42 yeah
24:44 he stayed controlled
24:46 he didn't let him get to him
24:48 he stayed patient
24:50 he hit his shots nicely
24:52 [crowd noise]
25:02 22 year old from Ringclubbing
25:04 in the picture
25:06 did a job well done
25:10 as you can see here
25:12 just wasn't to be for
25:14 Kiyoto Caputo
25:16 try as he might
25:18 might actually get a smile from Akbari
25:26 when we get the result
25:28 he's been absolutely
25:30 focused all the way through
25:32 not a glimmer of emotion from him
25:34 or reactions at any point
25:36 ladies and gentlemen
25:38 welcome back to the boxing
25:40 give your appreciation for the boxers
