The Masked Singer judge Ken Jeong shares why he’s still embarrassed he couldn’t guess THAT Masked Singer contestant and why guessing contestants is generally getting harder as the seasons go on in this interview with CinemaBlend’s Jeff McCobb.

00:41 Man, it was, and then for Margaret to say,

00:46 Ken, out of all people, I was expecting that to be you.

00:49 The look of embarrassment I had in that episode

00:53 was too real.

00:56 - But it's hard to know when they pick somebody

00:59 that that's that close, and then you're guessing,

01:01 you're like, I don't think they would pick somebody

01:03 that close to me to book them on the show

01:05 just because it's almost too obvious.

01:07 So I would see like, you're not gonna guess that closely

01:12 just because, well, why would they do that?

01:14 So I think that it's smart of them too.

01:18 So it's really tricky.

01:19 It's hard to know.

01:20 That show's hard to guess.

01:24 - Yeah, there's clues, performances.

01:25 Sometimes contestants now are able to,

01:29 even professional recording artists

01:30 will modify their voice while they're singing a song.

01:33 And there is what, to Margaret's point,

01:36 Masked Singer is like an art installation project

01:39 and group think.

01:40 Because sometimes when you're going down one alley

01:42 of thought, literally we'll be like,

01:44 no, I think it's so-and-so and so-and-so.

01:46 And I was like, I remember doing that second season,

01:48 I was convinced.

01:49 I know exactly who this is.

01:53 For real, everyone thought I was joking.

01:54 And at the end they were like,

01:56 oh, I actually agree with Ken.

01:57 And then we're all wrong.

01:59 - This is a pioneer in Asian-American comedy.
