Everton boss Sean Dyche says it seems like every game is must-win as they prepare to face Bournemouth in the Premier League
Transcript
00:00 on making it happen, has Bournemouth become a must-win for you?
00:03 I've heard that so many times as I've been at this club, to be honest.
00:06 Every game's a must-win, in my view.
00:08 That's the way I like to think about football.
00:10 But virtually ever since I've been here, it's been talked about, every game's a must-win.
00:15 And finally from me, there's pressure on you, there's pressure on the players.
00:19 Are you feeling that at all?
00:22 No, it's the reality of my job as a manager.
00:24 I've been in it long enough now.
00:25 I was a player all my life, I've been in football all my life.
00:27 And a manager of 10, pushing 11 years, going over 500 games a week.
00:31 So you want the pressure to be a different one.
00:34 You want it at the top, you want it when you're winning.
00:35 You want the pressure of constantly performing and winning games.
00:39 Sometimes it's the reverse pressure when it's hard yards.
00:42 And these are hard yards when you're looking for them results,
00:45 you're looking to define the thing that is the last thing to click
00:48 to make it work when you do win games.
00:49 But that's part and parcel of it.
00:51 I think without that, you'd be in the wrong industry if you're a football manager,
00:54 because it's a constant pressure in football management, and for players,
00:57 but slightly differently.
00:58 It's a constant, so you have to get used to managing it in yourself,
01:01 not just with a team and the group around you and the fans,
01:04 you know, your own way of working.
01:05 And I just try and find a calmness to make sure I stay focused on the job in hand.
