00:27 having more than six voters across the state.
00:30 This was another exercise which was taken.
00:31 There were complaints here that one house number
00:35 has many more voters.
00:38 So you must have also been reading and reporting
00:40 about this.
00:41 So what was done?
00:43 All households across the state which
00:46 has more than six voters, that list
00:49 was fetched from the system.
00:51 So the number came to 7.66 lakh houses,
00:54 identified with over 75.97 lakh voters across the state.
00:59 This was the number of voters which these households had,
01:03 of which 4.15 lakh voters identified for address
01:08 correction.
01:09 So somebody's house was a different number,
01:11 it was an oblique number, whatever, that was corrected.
01:14 Transparency in this.
01:20 So both, we have just said, vision of transparency
01:24 in entire electoral process.
01:26 Before that, while doing the electoral rolls exercise
01:30 over this SSR 23, first and second,
01:36 there were more than 1,000 meetings
01:37 held with the representatives of the political parties
01:41 at different levels, districts and the states.
01:44 So that at every stage, whenever you publish,
01:50 you receive claims, you have objections,
01:53 you dispose of objections, at every stage
01:55 you have a discussion, and you have the transparency
01:58 and disclosures.
02:00 Now, coming to the transparency in overall process
02:05 from roll to poll to counting, the process
02:08 is so inclusive and so transparent
02:11 that at every stage of updation of electoral rolls,
02:13 as I mentioned, the political parties were involved.
02:17 And more than 1,000 meetings took place in SSR 1 and SSR 2
02:20 23.
02:22 Similarly, FLC commissioning, symbol loading,
02:25 mock polls, storage of EVMs, booth level agents,
02:28 at every stage, the hallmark is the philosophy underlying
02:33 is that we disclose, we make it transparent,
02:37 and then we also involve and take suggestions.

02:45 Now, how do we make it inclusive?
02:49 So now, number one is the focus on youth, 8.11 lakh voters,
02:53 as I mentioned.
02:54 And last year, before last year, if you remember,
02:57 we made an amendment in the Act.
02:59 The eligibility date for becoming a voter
03:02 was 1st January of the year.
