Smoking GEG bill to be tabled for second reading in Parliament on Oct 10

The Control of Smoking Products for Public Health Bill 2023 will be tabled for its second reading in Parliament this coming Tuesday (Oct 10), says Health Minister Dr Zaliha Mustafa.  She also told reporters that amendments made by the Parliamentary Special Select Committee (PSSC) to the bill had been well received by Cabinet. 00:13 about several amendments they want to make to the RUU that we are about to pass.

00:18 Yesterday, I gave a note of apology to the Cabinet

00:24 to accept the amendments brought by the Jalatan Kuasa Has.

00:33 After this, we are waiting for the Parliament to give a date

00:39 where we can hold the second reading.

00:42 And then, for the JCPK to hold the second reading in the Parliament and discuss.

00:47 Hopefully, God willing, we will have a vote on the RUU that we will pass.
