00:00 Amanda Owen had to defend herself after being accused of having children to help her on
00:14 the farm.
00:17 The 46-year-old star is married to Clive Owen and currently has nine kids, but is ruling
00:25 out having a tenth.
00:30 She believes she is too old to have another but wants people to know that she wants her
00:34 kids to feel involved when it comes to the farm.
00:40 The star explained, "I try not to build comparisons with what everybody else is doing.
00:49 I am quite fortunate that I don't have to do competitive parenting because I am isolated,
00:53 so I can do my own thing.
01:00 But being part of a big family, being on the farm and having various tasks and responsibilities,
01:05 I think those are really good life lessons."
01:12 She continued to the Sun, "To teach them washing and cooking, I don't mean for one minute my
01:16 kids are skivvies but I want them to feel like an important part of what we do and that
01:21 they're valued.
01:25 I think that responsibility holds the family together, especially with the older ones,
01:30 it gives them independence."

01:57 Viewers previously accused the star and her 66-year-old husband of breeding their own
02:02 workforce.
02:05 However, she says her children are happy to help out with chores on Ravenseat Farm.
02:15 Farm work is done with the help of their nine children, Anas, Violet, Edith, Raven, Clemmie,
02:21 Nancy, Ruben, Miles, and Sydney.
02:28 They have a lot of work cut out for them as the Owens own 1,000 sheep, 40 cows, 6 dogs
02:33 and 4 ponies.
02:39 Defending herself last month, Amanda said, "We all have to work together as a family.
02:47 I really don't feel that's a bad lesson.
02:50 This is what needs to happen and we all need to do it.
02:56 I don't feel like that's sort of breeding your own workforce because it's not that.
03:01 It's a fact of being involved and have that responsibility and being part of something.
03:10 I think that's a good thing."
