Sinéad O’Connor shared a prayer for “suffering” just six weeks before her unexpected death.

The “Nothing Compares 2 U” singer fired off a tweet on June 6 that linked to a video of the Hawaiian ho’oponopono, which is the “most powerful guided meditation for healing, forgiveness and self love,” according to its description.

“‘This is dedicated to the many upon whom I have in my life so far brought suffering and is also, with love, for anyone who has in their lives so far brought suffering upon me,'” she tweeted, which is a direct quote taken from the prayer.

Another loaded line from the meditation states, “For everything I do not like in my present life, I’m sorry. Forgive me. I love you. I’m grateful.”

The Irish music legend died Wednesday, though no cause of death was given. She was 56.

“It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Sinéad,” the late singer’s family confirmed in a statement.

Her family and friends are devastated and have requested privacy at this very difficult time.”

O’Connor’s death comes a year after the death of her 17-year-old son, Shane, who took his own life in January 2022 after escaping suicide watch at an Irish hospital.

The “This Is the Day” songstress canceled all of her performances in June 2022 for her “health and well-being,” though no specific issues were ever shared.

Thank you to Sinéad’s friends and fans whose support and understanding we hold in the highest esteem throughout this period,” said a statement at the time.

“The love being shown has been a source of great comfort and peace for Sinéad.”

She is survived by her three other children: Jake, 36, daughter Roisin, 27, and son Yeshua, 16.
