00:00 Trump doesn't have enough cash to pay huge fraud damages.
00:03 Michael Cohen, who alleged during a 2019 congressional hearing that his former boss, Donald Trump,
00:10 inflated his assets to obtain favorable tax breaks, predicted that Trump will end up on
00:15 the hook for much more than what New York Attorney General Letitia James is asking for
00:20 in her fraud case against him.
00:22 That case went into overdrive Tuesday when a judge ruled that Trump, his executives,
00:28 and his heirs were liable for "persistent and repeated fraud."
00:32 During an interview on CNN Tuesday night, Cohen said the news "has long been in the
00:37 wake."
00:38 While James is seeking a $250 million penalty, Cohen predicted on the source that Trump will
00:44 ultimately have to pay at least $600 million when taking into account "interest and penalty."
00:51 Cohen also claimed that Trump "does not have that liquid cash available in order to pay
00:56 that off."
00:57 When asked by anchor Kaitlyn Collins whether Trump is able to pay that amount, Cohen simply
01:03 replied, "No."
