00:18 who is Sanatan Dharmi,

00:19 then we would like to tell you that the first condition for being a Hindu is

00:23 to have faith in the Vedas.

00:25 We have to believe in the character of the people who practice the Vedas.

00:32 And then we have to depend on their conduct.

00:36 So, the one who believes in the Vedas, Smriti and their conduct,

00:41 is actually a Hindu.

00:43 Some people say that the one who considers a cow to be his mother,

00:46 the one who considers a Guru to be the form of God,

00:50 the one who considers rebirth to be his previous birth,

00:55 the one who accepts the principle of karma,

00:57 this is the identity of being a Hindu.

01:03 Brahmacharya, Egreshya, Vanaprastha,

01:05 who do not know about this.

01:07 Now, these days, they are called political Hindus.

01:09 Many people are considering them Hindus.

01:11 But the basic definition is that

01:14 the one who follows the Dharma told in the Vedas,

01:17 the one who spends his life following the Dharma,

01:20 that Dharma is called Varanashram.

01:22 He can be called a Sanatani, Dharmic or Hindu.
