00:00 Happy Sunday to all of us. I am Benison Estareja.
00:03 The Philippine Area of Responsibility has released the low-pressure area we are monitoring
00:09 here in the Zambales area.
00:11 As of 4 in the afternoon, it is at 435 kilometers north of Pag-asa Island in Palawan.
00:18 Based on our analysis, the low-pressure area will gradually move towards the central portion of Vietnam
00:25 tomorrow night until early Tuesday.
00:29 This low-pressure area has no direct effect on our land, but it enhances the Habagat or Southwest Monsoon
00:36 in the western sections of Southern Luzon and Visayas.
00:40 Meanwhile, we also observed a low-pressure area in a far part of our land,
00:45 in the Pacific Ocean, in the Guam area, and at an altitude of 2,500 kilometers north of Northern Luzon.
00:52 Based on our analysis, the trough or the extension of the low-pressure area
00:57 will gradually move towards the eastern portion of Southern Luzon and Visayas.
01:01 It may rain the next few days.
01:04 For the next 12 hours or later tonight until early tomorrow,
01:09 most of Central, Southern Luzon and Visayas will experience rain.
01:14 On the western side, this is due to the low-pressure area in the South China Sea.
01:19 We still expect a high chance of rain over Zambales, Bataan, Metro Manila,
01:24 and the western part of Mimaropa and Visayas for the next 12 hours.
01:29 However, the rain will not be as strong as yesterday, which lasted for 2 to 3 hours.
01:35 The rain will be scattered and will last for 1 to 2 hours, not continuously.
01:40 On the eastern side of Central Luzon, eastern side of Calabar Zone, Bicol Region,
01:45 the remaining part of Visayas, and some parts of Caraga Region,
01:49 we expect a cloudy sky tonight, accompanied by scattered thunderstorms.
01:54 This is due to the trough or extension of the LPA in a large part of our land.
01:59 Here in the remaining part of Luzon, in the northern portion,
02:02 we see white areas associated with localized thunderstorms.
02:06 In the southern portion of Cordillera, La Union, Pangasinan, and nearby areas,
02:10 here in Cagayan Valley, while here in the northern portion of Mindanao,
02:14 localized thunderstorms continue every afternoon in the Misamis Provinces,
02:19 here in Boquednon, Agusan Provinces, and some parts of Caraga Region.
02:26 By tomorrow, some parts of our land will still experience rain.
02:30 On the western side, we repeat, due to the trough of the LPA
02:34 in the south China Sea, which is heading to Vietnam,
02:37 there is a high chance of rain in Mimaropa, San Bales, Bataan,
02:41 and here in Batangas and Cavite.
02:43 So be careful of possible floods or landslides.
02:46 If we go outside tomorrow, make sure you have an umbrella.
02:50 Here in the eastern part of Luzon, for Bicol Region and Quezon Province,
02:55 expect a cloudy weather for almost the entire day by tomorrow,
02:59 especially in the afternoon until the afternoon,
03:01 where there is a high chance of rain and thunderstorms.
03:05 Here in Metro Manila, there is a high chance of rain
03:08 from the afternoon to the evening,
03:10 and in general, it will be sunny until the morning.
03:13 Other areas of Central Luzon and Northern Luzon,
03:16 generally, fair weather conditions,
03:18 and in other areas, the sky is cloudy,
03:20 will also be accompanied by heavy rains or landslides.
03:24 For our fellow citizens in Visayas,
03:27 by tomorrow, there will still be a heavy effect
03:29 or southwest monsoon in western Visayas.
03:32 Expect a cloudy weather starting in the afternoon,
03:34 and there may be continuous rains from the afternoon until the evening.
03:38 Here in Central and Eastern Visayas,
03:40 due to the trough of the LPA,
03:43 expect a cloudy weather starting in the afternoon,
03:46 and there may be continuous rains from the afternoon
03:49 until the early morning on the Tuesday.
03:53 Here in Mindanao, expect a cloudy weather
03:55 and sometimes a sunny weather on Monday,
03:58 but there is a high chance of heavy rains or landslides
04:02 that has nothing to do with the LPA.
04:04 Expect it to last until the evening.
04:06 So far, we are not expecting a high-level of hail,
04:10 but there is a warning for high-level of hails
04:13 in the major cities of our country.
04:15 So if we only have thunderstorms,
04:17 especially in the western side of Luzon
04:19 and here in the eastern portion of Mindanao,
04:21 expect up to 2 meters of hail.
04:25 And for the next three days,
04:27 Tuesday and Wednesday, we can see
04:29 that the low-pressure area near Guam is getting closer,
04:33 near our land,
04:34 for example, in the east of Luzon
04:36 and inside the Philippine Area of Responsibility
04:39 on Tuesday or Wednesday.
04:40 So the trough of that low-pressure area
04:43 will still be raining in some parts
04:44 of southern Luzon and Visayas,
04:46 but here in Metro Manila,
04:48 Tuesday until Thursday,
04:49 there is no effect from that low-pressure area
04:51 or from the southwest monsoon.
04:53 Expect a cloudy weather
04:54 and sometimes a cloudy sky
04:56 that will only be accompanied
04:57 by short rains or landslides.
05:00 For our fellow citizens here in Baguio City
05:04 and the entire Cordillera region,
05:06 Tuesday and Wednesday, cloudy weather
05:07 until the afternoon,
05:09 and possible up to 24 degrees Celsius
05:12 as the maximum temperature.
05:14 Then from the afternoon until the evening,
05:15 possible rain that will be accompanied by rain.
05:18 Then when Thursday arrives,
05:20 the chances of rain will be higher
05:22 as early as morning
05:23 due to the gradual strengthening
05:25 of the southwest monsoon
05:26 that will gradually push the low-pressure area
05:28 in the east of Luzon.
05:30 For our fellow citizens in Bicol Region,
05:33 Tuesday and Wednesday,
05:34 expect a cloudy weather
05:36 and possible rain that will only be accompanied by rain.
05:38 Light to moderate rains in general
05:39 and not continuous.
05:41 So make sure to bring an umbrella.
05:43 Then when Thursday arrives,
05:45 expect a cloudy weather
05:46 until a cloudy sky
05:48 that will be accompanied by rain
05:50 until the evening,
05:51 until dawn.
05:52 For our fellow citizens here in Metro Cebu,
05:56 Tuesday and Wednesday,
05:57 expect the effect of the trough
05:59 of the low-pressure area,
06:00 so the eastern and central portions of Visayas,
06:03 will be rainy,
06:04 especially in the afternoon
06:05 until the evening.
06:06 Then when Thursday arrives,
06:07 the weather will be good
06:09 as by Thursday,
06:09 it is possible that it will be sunny
06:11 or that the low-pressure area
06:12 will only be a circulation
06:14 in the east of the country.
06:15 And lastly,
06:17 for our fellow citizens here in Metro Davao,
06:19 in the middle of the week,
06:20 expect the part that is cloudy
06:22 and sometimes sunny sky
06:24 accompanied by hot weather
06:26 when the afternoon arrives
06:27 until 33 degrees Celsius.
06:29 Then from the afternoon until the evening,
06:30 it is possible that there will be heavy rains
06:32 or when it is cloudy,
06:33 that has nothing to do with weather disturbance.
06:35 The sun will set at 5.51 pm
06:39 and will rise again tomorrow at 5.45 am.
06:42 That is the latest from the
06:43 Weather Forecasting Center of Pagasa.
06:45 I am again, Benison S. Tareja,
06:47 saying until next time,
06:49 "Pagasa, Magandang Solusyon!"
