Debut album by American jazz saxophonist Billy Harper from Houston, Texas. "Capra Black" has a sort of small big band intention to create a dense sound and to realize Harper's sound vision. Backed by a group of ecellent musicians Harper inderted in the sound also a choir, something rare in jazz, adding to the album feeling an emotional gospel potential and channeling all into an emotional complex avant-garde.
