00:00 The National Bureau of Investigation has already submitted
00:03 their recommendation to the Department of Justice
00:06 on the cases filed against the hoarders and smugglers of onions.
00:12 According to Justice Secretary Jesus Crispin Remulla,
00:15 the NBI recommended the cases of hoarding and profiteering
00:19 filed against six individuals.
00:22 Remulla did not name these individuals,
00:25 but he confirmed that some government officials were involved.
00:29 The NBI's latest investigation
00:33 explains that in the past year,
00:35 the production cost of more than P500 pesos per kilo of onions
00:40 was only P8 to P15.
00:44 The DOJ is expected to study the NBI's recommendation
00:49 before they will continue to file the complaint.
00:55 This is one of the cases that we are filing.
00:59 DOJ.
01:01 This is for hoarding and profiteering.
01:04 But there will be other cases that will be filed.
01:06 But the DOJ, up to the point of economic sabotage.
01:11 The government officials here,
01:13 in our opinion,
01:16 are the ones who are showing that they have a say in this matter.
