Transcript
00:00 The former Philippine National Shooting Association President, Luis Chavez Sinzon,
00:06 questioned the qualification of Filipino athletes who participated in the Shooting World Cup last June.
00:12 This is what Kye Suncion of PTV Sports reported.
00:15 Investigation to look into the Filipino unqualified athletes who participated in the International Shooting Sports Federation or ISSF
00:24 2023 World Cup held in Lunato, Italy this July. This is what the Philippine National Shooting Association Chairman Emeritus,
00:33 Honorable Luis Chavez Sinzon, for the Philippine Sports Official, called.
00:38 Of the 5 Filipino shooters who played in the Men's Trap event, 93rd place from 196 athletes,
00:46 the highest in the Philippines, was the one who got 113 total scores, Eric Ang.
00:54 The last one to reach the 113th place was the 2023 Hangzhou Asian Games Chef de Mission,
00:58 Philippine Fencing and Modern Pentathlon Chief Richard Gomez,
01:02 who reached 189th place with 91 total scores, while in 86th out of 87 participants,
01:10 Valerie Levanza was on the top side with 76 points.
01:14 In the Men's Kit event, the best Filipino shooter was Enrique Endiquez,
01:18 who was 94th place with 115 points and was in 158th spot,
01:24 and the last one to reach the top spot was Joaquin Ancheta.
01:27 Sinzon believes that there is another mask that should be worn here
01:31 based on the qualifying tournaments that they held.
01:36 World Cup, we will send unqualified athletes.
01:40 In other countries, if there is a situation like that, they are removed.
01:44 So we should investigate who is responsible for sending unqualified shooters.
01:49 So I repeat, if they are qualified, it's okay, maybe they were just sent.
01:53 But if they are not, we will just wear it.
01:56 Aside from this, Sinzon's camp in the Philippine Sports Commission is also calling for
02:02 the national team's missing shooting equipment from July to December of last year,
02:08 which is worth almost 2 million pesos.
02:12 This year, they started investigating the missing 2 containers of clay targets
02:19 that were in the PSC shooting range inside the Bureau of Corrections Compound in Muntindupa.
02:24 When we asked for the annexes to Commissioner Britz,
02:27 we were told that the chairman removed the shooting from him because it was too controversial.
02:33 So we called the PSC chairman, Pacma,
02:38 "Please give us the attachments, the annexes of your report
02:45 so we can find out the whole truth about what happened to the 2 containers of clay targets
02:50 that were not in the PSC Buco range."
02:53 Meanwhile, until now, we are still waiting for the statement of Gomez and the Philippine Olympic Committee
03:00 regarding the investigation requests of Sinzon's camp.
03:04 This is Kaya Sinzon for the nation.
03:08 In the last episode, Congressman Richard Gomez called the accusations twisted.
