Syria's ancient adobe houses threatened by war, displacement

War has left northern Syrian villages empty, causing ancient mud-brick houses, built for millennia, to crumble. Mahmud al-Mheilej, standing amidst deserted homes, recalls when his village had 3,000 to 3,500 residents and about 200 mud houses.
