00:00 Selena Gomez's sister, Gracie, is showing off her hairdressing skills.
00:04 On August 28th, the 31-year-old singer shared a pic to her Instagram story of her 10-year-old
00:09 little sis shaving their friend Brooklyn Beckham's head.
00:13 "My babies," Selena wrote over the photo.
00:16 Gracie rocked a pink Mean Girls t-shirt and kept her focus as she worked, while the eldest
00:21 child of David and Victoria Beckham had his tattoo collection on display as he sat shirtless
00:26 during the shave.
00:28 That same day, Brooklyn's wife, Nicola Peltz Beckham, took to her Instagram and shared
00:33 photos of she and her freshly shaved hubby, while also posing by the fridge with Gracie
00:38 as she snacked on a strawberry.
00:40 Selena's mom, Mandy, and her stepfather, Brian Teefey, welcomed Gracie in 2013, and
00:46 despite their age gap, the sister duo seemed to have a close bond.
00:50 On July 20th, the Back To You songstress posted a mirror selfie in an elevator to her Instagram
00:55 of she and Gracie, and captioned the sweet post, "I love my little me.
01:00 She's cooler than I'll ever be."
01:02 And back in April, the pair attended Taylor Swift's Heiress tour together, with Sel posting
01:07 a photo of Gracie throwing up a heart at her while she was on stage, and then a video of
01:12 them dancing together to her hit Reputation song, "Delicate."
01:16 Gracie's voice even makes a quick cameo at the beginning of her big sister's new hit
01:20 song, "Single Soon."
01:28 Selena is never afraid to put her feelings out there, and she has notably been open about
01:32 her mental health journey.
01:33 In 2022, the Emmy nominee released a personal documentary called Selena Gomez, My Mind and
01:40 Me, which chronicles her life over the past six years.
01:43 AXIS Hollywood's Zuri Hall chatted with the Wizards of Waverly Place alum back in November
01:47 at the film's premiere, and Selena explained why she made the decision to share her behind-the-scenes
01:52 vulnerability.
01:53 Hi, Selena.
01:54 How are you?
01:55 You look amazing.
01:56 Thank you, and same.
01:57 First of all, congratulations on this project, and secondly, thank you for making it.
02:02 I'm not going to get super emotional, but thank you for making it.
02:07 It took a lot of brave vulnerability to share a story like this, your story, and I just
02:12 spoke with Alec, who said that you gave him full license to do what he would with your
02:17 story.
02:18 How much vulnerability, how much, if any, fear was there attached to that?
02:22 Oh, yeah.
02:23 I'm still scared, actually.
02:24 It was very uncomfortable, to be honest, in moments, but then I feel like it was also
02:30 necessary.
02:31 I thought the story needed to be bigger than just me and my music.
02:36 I think it took a life of its own, and he just created the story that truly is my life
02:43 in a time capsule.
02:45 Your life in a time capsule, it is inspiring.
02:48 It's gut-wrenching.
02:49 I ask this next question, and I don't ask it lightly, and only so much as you're comfortable
02:54 sharing, but that log line behind us says, "Every breath, a breakthrough."
02:58 What does that mean for you?
03:01 In your darkest moments of that struggle, what did you maybe fear most?
03:05 I think I was scared of myself.
03:08 The way I was treating myself, the way I was talking about my body, it breaks my heart
03:13 to think that's who I was.
03:16 It was really heartbreaking for me to know that.
03:19 I hope I never ... I just don't want anyone to feel what I feel or has walked through.
03:25 I feel like this can't not be an emotional garment for you.
03:31 What are you feeling right now, and why?
03:33 I'm very nervous.
03:36 This has been exciting, but a little overwhelming to be honest.
03:38 I think I am still a little shaky, but I'm excited to be here, and I'm happy that it's
03:43 going to be released.
03:45 Really quickly, anyone struggling at home who may be watching and going through something
03:49 similar, who may feel like their darkest days are still ahead, what would you say to them?
03:54 What would you encourage them with?
03:55 I would encourage them to be not afraid to seek help, but at the same time, learn about
04:01 it, understand what it is, because once you have the knowledge of what you're going through,
04:05 you're less afraid of it.
04:07 I would say learn as much as you can.
04:21 (upbeat music)
