00:00 Live from the GMA Network Center, this is 24 Horas.
00:06 Good evening, Luzon Visayas and Mindanao.
00:12 A large-scale and underwater impounding project,
00:17 one of the islands was hit by a torrential rainstorm in Cagayan.
00:22 And because the torrential rainstorm hasn't left yet,
00:24 and there's another storm being monitored,
00:26 the possible flood is being prepared.
00:29 The current loss in 10 towns there has added to the problems until now.
00:34 The situation there was reported live by Jasmine Gabriel Galvan
00:38 of GMA Regional TV 1 North Central Luzon.
00:41 Jasmine.
00:43 Mel, Emil, Vicky, the authorities are still monitoring
00:49 the water impounding station here in the town of Alcala.
00:52 Aside from the water impounding station,
00:54 the PNP is also monitoring the residents in the evacuation center.
00:59 [birds chirping]
01:01 The PNP and MDRRMO evacuated 56 families, or 159 individuals,
01:09 from Barangay Cabuluan, Alcala, Cagayan
01:11 because they discovered a large area and the area where a small water impounding project was submerged.
01:16 The water impounding project was almost full of water
01:20 following the strong torrential rainstorm.
01:22 I'm really nervous, ma'am, because this is the first time in history that we felt like this here in Cabuluan.
01:30 The affected residents are also being monitored closely,
01:32 which continues in Cabuluan Elementary School.
01:36 The BFP and my people are also being monitored.
01:40 They're still there until now, ma'am.
01:41 The Mines and Geosciences Bureau inspected the area.
01:44 They say that there's a landslide that happened,
01:47 so the residents should stay in the evacuation center.
01:51 Because people were forced to evacuate, which is good,
01:54 we will continue to evacuate them until such time that this area can be evaluated.
02:01 The water level in the water impounding station is still rising.
02:06 The local government is opening the water impounding station's valve
02:12 and releasing water continuously directly to the irrigation canal.
02:16 Meanwhile, the PDRRM or Cagayan River is also being closely monitored.
02:21 Because of the rapid rise of water in the river,
02:24 the residents of Tuau, Amulong, Alcala, Piap, Peña Blanca and Garau City are preparing for possible flooding.
02:31 The rain that fell in Vizcaya, Quirino and Isabela,
02:37 we expect that it will fall in Barwins.
02:41 For now, some barangays in ten provinces are still submerged in the flood.
02:45 There's still no supply of electricity in 210 barangays in 11 towns.
02:49 Vicky Azo, 5 p.m.
02:55 The water level in Cagayan River is 6 meters.
02:58 Meanwhile, some places are still being flooded in the province of Cagayan.
03:02 Tomorrow is the first day of school return, Vicky.
03:05 But here in the province of Cagayan, the class is suspended in all the rivers
03:10 because there are still schools that are submerged in the flood
03:12 while there are evacuation centers that are being used.
03:16 Vicky?
03:17 Thank you very much.
03:18 And take care, Jasmine Gabriel Galvan of GMA Regional TV 1 North Central Luzon.
03:24 In Ilocos Sur, some houses were submerged in the river.
03:30 So, the state of calamity is being studied in Narva Can.
03:36 Ivie Hernando of GMA Regional TV 1 North Central Luzon is live.
03:42 Mel, 11 houses in San Pedro and one in Nungnegues are still standing by the river.
03:54 But the LGU declared these houses totally damaged
03:59 because the ground can sink at any time.
04:04 This house in San Pedro, Narva Can, Ilocos Sur
04:10 is one of the houses in the area that was flooded by the rising river
04:14 because of the heavy rain caused by the Gory Tsunami.
04:17 The other house is in the same area.
04:23 They have nothing to do but to leave the house that was abandoned for years.
04:27 We are not going to leave this house.
04:34 We will stay here until the flood is over.
04:38 This big house of Henoveva's mother
04:42 also needs to be left because of the danger in the area.
04:45 They say that the river should be put under slow protection or flood control.
04:49 The flood was so heavy that it was difficult to leave the house.
04:53 We are very thankful to the LGU for this house.
04:58 We are very thankful to the LGU for this house.
05:01 We are very thankful to the LGU for this house.
05:05 We are very thankful to the LGU for this house.
05:10 We are very thankful to the LGU for this house.
05:16 We are very thankful to the LGU for this house.
05:20 We are very thankful to the LGU for this house.
05:23 There are no more people in the other house.
05:25 Some of them have already left their belongings
05:28 while some are still looking for a house that they can use.
05:33 According to the LGU, 11 houses can be built at any time.
05:39 But these residents of San Pedro village
05:42 have been left without a house for years.
05:46 They thought they were safe because they were transferred, but what happened was repeated.
05:51 The river used to be a small and almost dried up when it was hot.
05:56 But with the changing weather and the strong storm,
06:00 it became a wide river and the Bucana was visible from afar.
06:06 Currently, 1,771 families are affected,
06:11 which is equivalent to 5,446 individuals from 22 towns.
06:17 Some of them have already returned home,
06:20 but there are still two barangays in the evacuation center.
06:26 We have 52 families and 175 individuals.
06:31 The LGU is now studying the state of calamity in the town of Narvacan
06:37 and the impact of the heavy rain and the damage to the structures.
06:41 Mel, 13 houses have been declared totally damaged in Narvacan, Ilocos Sur.
06:51 According to the DSWD, financial assistance is ready to be given to the affected.
06:57 Mel?
06:58 Thank you very much and take care.
07:00 I'm Ivy Hernando of GMA Regional TV1 North Central Zone.
07:06 And now, let's talk about public schools.
07:10 But in some schools, the floodwater is a problem and a tool of penetration.
07:15 The possible solution to the problem is Sandra Aguinaldo's research.
07:19 More than a month after the storm and the heavy rain,
07:27 the floodwater did not stop at Doña Damiana de Leon Mackham Memorial Elementary School in Calumpit, Bulacan.
07:34 One day before the school opened, there was nothing to do in the classrooms that were still submerged in water.
07:41 The classrooms were cleaned and can be used.
07:45 In this school in Calumpit, Bulacan, 6 of the classrooms still have water.
07:50 And you can see right here in front, there is still water, even in the back.
07:56 But the school's principal is sure that the children will not drown in the water.
08:01 The truth is, some of the classrooms were converted.
08:04 One of the classes will be done right here in front of the school.
08:09 Because of that, the class is shifting first.
08:13 It also means that the school hours of the children will be reduced from 6 hours to only 4.
08:19 We will force to catch up the lessons that we did not tackle when we return to our regular classes.
08:27 Just like that, there will be another storm coming.
08:31 So we do not expect that by September, it will be dry.
08:34 It will reach October or November.
08:38 It depends on the time.
08:40 Some electric fans and a laptop were also damaged.
08:44 The modules and books that were wet by the floodwater need to be thrown away.
08:49 According to the Department of Education of DepEd, the classroom where the storm was damaged and the children who were drowned in the water were in Class 440.
08:57 In San Miguel, Maysula High School in Kalumpit, there is still no flood.
09:01 They are just finishing the preparation in some classrooms.
09:04 But Teacher Almira said that their school can flood again.
09:10 We are used to it because it happens every year.
09:13 When the storm comes, there will be cancellation of classes, the flood,
09:19 we are shipping modules and online classes so that the learning of the children will not be affected.
09:25 According to DepEd, the modules can be distributed at the beginning of the class
09:31 so that they can easily shift if the class is canceled during bad times.
09:36 For GMA Integrated News, Sandra Aguinaldo, for Tutok 24 Horas.
09:43 The AFP again insisted that China should stop the destruction of our resupply mission this weekend.
09:52 It is justified because the Philippine ship going to Pagasa Island was stopped by China
09:59 but another Philippine Navy ship was also waiting.
10:03 Joseph Mor is live.
10:05 Joseph.
10:09 Vicky, the new video of China's stoppage of the Philippine resupply mission to Pagasa Island,
10:20 you can watch it in this report.
10:22 In the video taken from BRP Laguna, you can see a Chinese ship
10:30 accompanying the Philippine ship to the area near Pagasa Island.
10:34 It's near. That's their tower and the buildings they built. That's at the end of the ship.
10:40 It's near Pagasa.
10:44 But the [beep] are still at the end.
10:47 That's the island.
10:49 On Tuesday, BRP Laguna pushed to Pagasa Island in Calayaan, Palawan to bring supplies there
10:55 but it was destroyed in the flood and they only arrived there this Saturday.
11:00 It's near. It's 100 meters away. It's good.
11:06 According to a reliable source, GMA Integrated News,
11:10 the Chinese Navy warship 630 jumped into BRP Laguna.
11:14 According to another source, the Philippine Navy ship, BRP Gregorio del Pilar,
11:19 escorted the BRP Laguna until it arrived safely at Pagasa.
11:24 According to the AFP chief of staff,
11:27 they should stop their coercive and dangerous tactics and their challenges to us.
11:36 According to the local government of Pagasa, even if it's really near,
11:40 the Chinese ships in Pagasa Island only just now started a resupply mission there.
11:47 That's very new to us. There's intimidation. The worry aspect.
11:52 According to a maritime law expert, anti-submarine corvette or ship of war,
11:57 the Chinese Navy warship 630,
11:59 it's common for Chinese ships to be near Pagasa Island
12:03 because there's a base next to the artificial island in Subi Reef.
12:07 Because they're building a base there. So they're there.
12:12 It's possible that the Chinese ships are often jumping or shadowing the Philippine ships
12:17 because the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea
12:21 or UNCLOS doesn't include the movement of the ships of the Navy.
12:24 Except if they are passing through the territorial seas or states,
12:30 there in the South China Sea, the problem precisely is disputed, the territorial seas.
12:37 That's why it's important to properly maintain facilities in Pagasa Island
12:41 that were already held by the Philippines in the 1940s and were neglected in the 1970s.
12:47 Without those facilities, if we just allow, for example, the runway to be eroded,
12:52 we're limiting our ability to access these islands.
12:55 And access to these islands is vital if we want to maintain our sovereignty.
13:00 The Congress has already planned to add funds to develop our territories.
13:05 The name of the game is effective presence in the South China Sea.
13:09 We also need to step up in our effective presence in the area.
13:15 It seems like the sea cat is hiding the image of an international studies professor in the Philippines and China
13:22 who wants to show that the West Philippine Sea is under control.
13:25 But it's expected that many Philippines allies will be here.
13:31 They're impressed and telling us a message, "We're here. We're watching you."
13:34 The Americans will also make their presence be felt.
13:38 And sooner or later, we'll have the Australians and even the Japanese.
13:42 We're still trying to get the Panagon China, which was made by the Philippines.
13:48 Vicky, you know the story of the Pagasa Islanders, right?
13:56 The refugees, when they're already here, because there's no hospital,
13:59 when they're already here, they'll be transferred to Puerto Princesa.
14:02 That's why they're asking for more facilities on the island.
14:08 Thank you very much, Joseph Morong.
14:10 The first day of the election was canceled for the barangay and SK Elections,
14:22 so the cut-off was extended in some places.
14:24 But in Taguig, the barangay that used to be the center of Makati is in chaos.
14:28 Tina Panganibal Perez is talking about that.
14:35 There's a celebration in different parts of the country
14:38 because of the start of the election period for the barangay and SK Elections
14:42 that has a ceremonial kick-off in the Catipunan Monuments in Manila.
14:46 The 12-01 was the effective one and will last until November 29.
14:52 It also started with the filing of the Certificate of Candidacy
14:56 for those who want to be barangay and SK officials
14:59 that was continued even in the most remote places and even in Negros Oriental
15:03 where there's a pending request to postpone the election.
15:07 In Manila, the cut-off was extended because of the COC's over-eating.
15:12 There's a candidate for SK but he's over-aged.
15:17 He will be charged with falsification of public documents and perjury
15:21 because the birth certificate was denied.
15:24 In Taguig, the barangay and SK Elections are in chaos
15:28 because the precinct number when they were still part of Makati is the same as the precincts in Taguig.
15:34 Candidates in the barangay and SK Elections joined the first day of filing the Certificate of Candidacy.
15:41 The mistake was surprising because after the COC's filing,
15:45 the candidate cannot do any kind of premature campaigning.
15:50 You cannot stick to anything because they are already candidates.
15:55 Even if there's no vote for, if you show your face,
15:59 it means you're promoting yourself, you're influencing the voters and therefore you're campaigning.
16:05 Social media is also a part of it.
16:08 Garcia said that premature campaigning can lead to cancellation of the candidacy,
16:14 disqualification or facing criminal charges.
16:18 If you're all candidates and you're not following the rules,
16:23 what will the public expect if you're already winners?
16:27 On October 30, the vote will be held on which of the more than 40,000 barangay and SK chairpersons will be elected.
16:36 Almost 300,000 members will be elected for the barangay and youth.
16:42 More than P10 million registered voters.
16:45 Each candidate can spend up to P5 for each voter in their chosen area.
16:53 For GMA Integrated News, Tina Panganiban Perez, NKTUTOK 24 Hours.
17:10 Dear viewers, the Philippine Area of Responsibility is still not out yet.
17:15 Another typhoon is about to enter the Par this week.
17:19 So while preparing for school or work tomorrow, make sure you're updated on the time.
17:27 Because of the typhoon, the signal number one in Batanes,
17:31 northern and eastern portion of the mainland, Cagayan,
17:34 including Babuyan Islands and the eastern portion of Isabela,
17:38 still expect strong winds and rain.
17:41 The last typhoon to pass is the 260 km long Typhoon Tugigarau City.
17:47 The wind is up to 155 km/h and the typhoon will reach 190 km/h.
17:55 It moves northward at a speed of 15 km/h.
17:59 According to the forecast track of the forecast, it will approach Batanes on Wednesday.
18:05 The possibility of landfall is not ruled out.
18:09 After that, the typhoon will hit the southern portion of Taiwan and it will leave the Par on Thursday.
18:16 But while the typhoon is moving out, another typhoon is expected to enter the Par on Wednesday or Thursday.
18:25 The international name of this tropical storm is Hai Kuei and it will be called Hana when it enters the Par.
18:32 For now, there is no effect in the country.
18:35 The typhoon and the strong winds will continue to bring rain.
18:39 Based on the data of the Metro Weather, it will rain tomorrow morning in Northern Luzon, Zambales, Bataan and Mimaropa.
18:47 There is heavy to intense rain in some places, so be alert for flood or landslide.
18:53 By the end of the day, it will rain in other parts of Central Luzon and in some parts of Bicol Region.
19:00 There is also a chance of rain tomorrow in Metro Manila, so to the teachers and students returning to school tomorrow,
19:07 make sure you have an umbrella in your bag before you leave the house.
19:11 For our fellow Filipinos in Visayas, there is rain in the morning in the western portion, as well as in Leyte Provinces.
19:19 But it will continue in the afternoon and there is already rain in some parts of Samar Provinces.
19:25 For the people of Mindanao, good news because the chance of rain is low in the morning.
19:30 But if it can be seen in the afternoon, bring a raincoat or umbrella because it is possible for it to rain in some parts of Zamboanga Peninsula,
19:38 Northern Mildanao, Caraga and Sucsargin.
19:41 Because of the heavy rain and the strong winds, it will be dangerous to travel to other parts of the country.
19:50 So be careful and be careful.
19:51 And that is the latest news for now.
19:53 I am Maureen Shrivers for GMA Integrated News Weather Center.
19:57 We are the ones you can count on, whatever the weather.
20:00 Thanks Maureen.
20:02 In other news, there is a rise in the price of some oil products starting tomorrow, the last Tuesday of August.
20:09 That is 70 cents per liter of diesel, while 30 cents per liter of gasoline.
20:16 There is also an additional 80 cents per liter of kerosene.
20:21 For now, it is almost 60 to 70 pesos per liter of diesel in Metro Manila.
20:28 More than 60 to 80 pesos per liter of gasoline.
20:33 And it is in the 77 to more than 70 pesos per liter of kerosene.
20:38 Whatever the news and changes, we will be together with you on Mapa Trends, online fitness, lifestyle, technology and more.
20:50 Let us now welcome our game changer, Martin Javier.
20:55 Thank you, Mel.
21:06 You mentioned "sasabayan," but that is difficult because of the speed we will feature today.
21:11 Making her name one race at a time is Bianca Bustamante,
21:15 who even at the age of 18, entered the Fast World of F1 Academy, the first race that she competed in.
21:23 So come on, let's change the game in the world of motor racing.
21:27 It is considered that sport racing is physically and mentally demanding.
21:35 And making her name in the global arena is 18-year-old Bianca Bustamante.
21:41 Come on, let's get to know her here in Game Changer.
21:45 In the world of open-wheel single-seater racing, Formula 1 is the highest-ranked race in the international stage.
21:53 This year, Formula 1 released a new all-female category for youth drivers, F1 Academy.
22:01 And Bianca is the first Filipino to qualify and compete.
22:07 That's why it's an honor to have Bianca with us today, showing us how it's done.
22:13 [Engine revving]
22:19 Alright, so we're here right now overlooking the track.
22:22 She told us she can go as fast as 160.
22:26 Thank you so much for having me here.
22:30 How did you get into it?
22:32 Yeah, I was years old and my dad introduced me into racing because he was really, really passionate about it.
22:38 I couldn't stop driving ever since.
22:42 But the road to her dreams was not easy.
22:45 Her dad had to work in the US to make ends meet and to support her love for racing.
22:52 Especially since a race abroad can only fetch up to 150,000 pesos.
22:58 I told my parents that I'm willing to sacrifice everything and they would do the same for me.
23:04 And soon enough, she started winning races.
23:10 At the age of 6, she won her first local race.
23:14 She was 8 years old when she won her first international race in Macau.
23:20 Fast forward to this year, at the age of 18,
23:24 when Bianca was chosen by Prema Racing, an Italian motorsport team, to compete in F1 Academy.
23:31 From her professional go-kart, she needed a lot of training to move up
23:37 and drive a legit formula race car with a stronger engine.
23:41 Which could only reach 160 km/h.
23:47 My training, I would say, is one of the toughest.
23:51 Numbers of lifts, of cardio training, eye coordination.
23:57 But in a formula car, the car itself is nearly 500 kg.
24:03 So you need to be able to turn the wheel without the help.
24:07 And it all paid off.
24:09 Because just last May, Bianca made history as she made her first career victory,
24:15 finishing first in one of her races in Valencia, Spain.
24:19 And she was followed by another victory, this time in Monza, Italy.
24:24 First Filipina to win an FIA sanctioned race, F1 Academy race,
24:29 I think it wasn't just for me, it was for everyone.
24:33 Now, Bianca is getting ready for the last track of the season this October,
24:38 which will be held in Austin, USA.
24:41 That's it, Kapuso!
24:44 Thank you so much, Bianca, for joining us here on Game Changer.
24:48 Again, exciting times ahead.
24:49 Looking forward to your races, and we're very, very proud of you.
24:54 For GMA Integrated News, I'm Martin Aviar.
24:57 And this is Bianca Bustamante, F1 Academy racer.
25:00 Changing the Game!
25:02 The most important checkpoints for the barangay and SK elections are now in place.
25:10 Some are prohibited so that you won't be seen.
25:13 Let's find out in the live coverage of Oscar Oigan.
25:15 Oscar!
25:18 Yes, Vicky.
25:21 Starting today, the left and right of the Cometheque checkpoints
25:25 will be expected in different places in the country.
25:27 This is still part of the preparations for the upcoming barangay and SK elections.
25:33 A tricycle was hit by a car in the middle of Ilocos Norte
25:40 after the police overheated their way to the election checkpoint.
25:45 The driver was drunk.
25:47 Even here in Luzon Avenue in Quezon City,
25:50 the police are closely watching almost every car passing by.
25:54 A few meters before the nearest checkpoint,
25:57 they are already checking the road.
26:00 But it's just random.
26:02 So that we won't cause traffic to other motor vehicles.
26:07 If the checkpoints are allowed to pass,
26:10 don't be careless, especially if there's no hidden smuggler.
26:15 The windows should be lowered.
26:17 At night, turn off the headlights and open the cabin light of the car.
26:22 Prepare a license and registration of the car in case the police look for it.
26:28 Checkpoint personnel are only limited to visual search.
26:32 Okay? Plain view doctrine.
26:34 No one can open the bag, no one can open anything if you don't want to.
26:38 Because the gun ban has already started,
26:40 don't bring a gun if you are not included in the more than 1,000 gun ban exemption commilite.
26:48 This is to ensure that everyone will be safe and secure.
26:55 Until this afternoon, 5 firearms were already confiscated by the PNP and 5 were arrested.
27:02 Of course, if the gun ban is canceled, the PTC and the license,
27:08 they need to get a permit from the commilite.
27:11 It is also possible that the one who brought a lot of money, more than half a million pesos,
27:17 will be arrested.
27:18 The Commilite has already talked to the Central Bank of the Philippines,
27:21 Anti-Money Laundering Council and the companies of e-wallets
27:25 to find out who sent the same valuables to many people.
27:30 Voting and selling of votes is prohibited.
27:34 There is no problem with those I talked to who passed through the checkpoint.
27:38 It's okay.
27:39 It's for safety, for the motorists, as long as there is no violation.
27:49 It's okay with four-wheels, because usually it's only two bikes.
27:53 With four-wheels, at least the general is good, not the one who chooses.
27:58 If there is a problem or there is abuse, you can complain.
28:03 There should be a signage at the checkpoint where the name of the local election officer is written.
28:08 You can also call the number.
28:11 Meanwhile, bodyguards and security personnel of the candidates are also prohibited.
28:18 Changing the territory of a precinct or the election of a new precinct
28:23 is a violation of the election results.
28:26 Meanwhile, Vicky, in these moments, the Commilite checkpoint is still being searched
28:35 by the QCBD Station 6 officers here at Milozon Avenue.
28:39 And good news, in these moments, they haven't been able to find any violations
28:43 in the Commilite Omnibus Election Code.
28:45 Vicky?
28:46 Thank you very much, Oscar Oida.
28:48 Good news on sports.
28:54 The new name of the country was brought by the Filipino Olympian and poll voter EJ Obiena.
29:00 Obiena won the silver medal after clearing the 6-meter jump
29:06 in the World Athletics Championships in Budapest, Hungary.
29:10 That's the same as his personal best and Asian record in June in Norway.
29:15 Obiena's silver medal in the World Athletics Championships
29:20 is a first for the Filipino in the national team.
29:24 Armand Duplantis of Sweden was the one who won the bronze medal for the United States and Australia.
29:32 On social media, Obiena said that he won the medal for all Filipinos around the world.
29:39 He thanked everyone who cheered for him, especially in the awarding ceremony.
29:45 The heroes of different generations were awarded the national heroes' day.
29:52 But do they still know many Filipinos, especially the parts of history?
29:57 That's where the Sani Pueras is focused, by Mark Salazar and Ian Cruz.
30:01 The President was a volunteer in the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.
30:09 He not only met the unknown heroes, but also gave a life for the freedom we are enjoying.
30:17 And not only them, but also the heroes who inspire us.
30:23 Like the linemen who are returning the electricity in the middle of the storm.
30:39 The farmers who are protecting the security of the food.
30:43 The teachers who are teaching even from afar, despite the small income.
30:48 And the OFWs who are the new heroes of the country.
30:52 Their heroic acts, small or large, go a long way and make our country and the world a better place.
31:01 Long live the heroism of the heart, which is in the heart of every Filipino.
31:06 It's a holiday because the nation is celebrating the national heroes' day.
31:10 But there are still many Filipinos who are not yet here.
31:14 Why are we celebrating the national heroes' day?
31:16 Heroes' day.
31:18 Who is your favorite hero?
31:21 Jose Rizal.
31:23 What does the national heroes' day mean?
31:26 Holiday.
31:28 Because?
31:29 Heroes' day.
31:30 Who is the father of the heroes?
31:33 Andres Bonifacio.
31:35 Is that right?
31:37 My history is alive.
31:39 Heroes, from the beginning of history until now,
31:43 were given the title of the second president by the flag bearer of the flag of Lapu-Lapu in Mactan, Cebu.
31:50 That the Lapu-Lapu's triumph in the pre-colonial Philippines is a powerful manifestation
31:57 that we are a race of people who are selfless and fearless.
32:04 Now, there is freedom from the monarchy. It is still called the time for everyone to be a hero.
32:11 In Manila, the vice president led the tribute to some soldiers who served as heroes in the combat zone
32:19 in the new administrative and logistics functions, community service and education.
32:25 For GMA Integrated News, Mark Salazar.
32:29 Ian Cruz, for 24 Hours.

32:36 Mga Kapuso, get ready to experience the Bard of Magic for the upcoming primetime series,
32:41 "Maging Sino Ka Man" this September.
32:44 But before we watch that, what should we know behind the scenes?
32:49 Let's talk to Nelson Canlas.
32:54 It's just a teaser of "Maging Sino Ka Man". The chemistry of Barbie Forteza and David Licaco is already felt by the fans.
33:03 That's why they are already excited for the full experience of Bard of Magic
33:08 in the beginning of the upcoming primetime series.
33:12 Here are 5 things you should know about Barda's version of the hit 90s film.
33:19 One, from "Pambansang Ginoo" to "Action Star" real quick.
33:24 David will surprise us with his opening action scene in the series where he is in a truck.
33:32 The scenes are hot, especially him.
33:35 Watch out for Carding's opening scene.
33:38 No double.
33:39 No double?
33:40 Two, Monique pretends to be a man to be a manly body.
33:46 Barbie doesn't need to wear binders.
33:49 The result, a handsome and amazing actor.
33:53 I watched the preview earlier.
33:55 I saw Barbie. She's really amazing.
34:00 Speaking of Barbie, watch out for her scene in Manila Bay where she is being carried by a moving barge.
34:10 And be the judge if her fear is obvious.
34:14 That's our number 3.
34:16 Number 4.
34:18 David's role is a tough one.
34:22 That's why there are a lot of scenes, even the motor chase scenes,
34:26 that are taken from the streets of Quezon City and Manila.
34:30 For the authentic feel of the scenes,
34:32 he's taking them from the winding streets like this one, going to Carding's house.
34:37 This is Carding's house, his mansion.
34:39 And last but not the least,
34:43 Barbie and David don't need to do a workshop before the series starts.
34:48 Because they've already built a friendship from Maria Clara and Ibarra
34:54 as Binibining Clay and Ginuong Fidel,
34:57 who have followed a lot of projects together.
35:01 For me, ever since, it's easy when David is on set.
35:07 I feel like I always have someone to talk to.
35:11 For example, when I'm tired, it's easy when I see him.
35:17 I was with the kid earlier, and I felt like I was different.
35:19 I felt like I was getting nervous.
35:20 It's also a familiarity with Barbie, so everything is easier.
35:24 Nelson Canlas, updated on Shoebiz Happenings.
35:28 And that's my good people, this Monday night,
35:33 I'm Ia Araliano, Ms. Mel, Ms. Vicky Emil.
35:36 Thank you, Ia.
35:39 Thank you, Ia.
35:41 Very good.
35:42 And that's the news this Monday, I'm Mel Tiangco.
35:45 I'm Vicky Morales, for a bigger mission.
35:48 For a wider service to the country, I'm Emil Zuman.
