00:00 Hello, here's your latest weather update from the Met Office. We'll see rather mixed weather

00:03 conditions across the UK this weekend. It's a case of sunshine and showers. Low pressures

00:08 anchor towards the north-west of the UK, feeding showers in from the west and south-west. Fairly

00:12 tightly packed isobars indicating fairly blustery conditions at times too. And then low pressure

00:16 moves in from the south-west, helding some rain for England and Wales Sunday night into

00:20 Monday.

00:21 Quite a few showers around as we go through this afternoon, certainly towards the north

00:24 and west of the UK. Some heavy, even thundery ones in places. Fairly blustery winds too.

00:29 The best of the sunshine towards the south and east. And here we'll see the best of the

00:32 temperatures up to 22 or 23 Celsius. 23 there is 73 in Fahrenheit. Pretty close to where

00:38 they should be for the time of year.

00:41 As we head through the evening into the overnight period, those showers will continue pretty

00:44 much nationwide for a time at least. But they'll become more focused towards the north and

00:48 west of the UK as we go through the overnight period. Still a few heavy ones towards the

00:52 north-west of Scotland. Towards the south and east, some drier spells developing, some

00:55 clearer spells too. But wherever you are, it's a pretty warm night for the time of year.

00:59 Temperatures holding up in the mid-teens. 15 or 16 Celsius is low towards the south.

01:03 16 is 61 in Fahrenheit.

01:06 As for Sunday, well it's another day of sunshine and showers. The focus for the heaviest showers,

01:10 the most widespread showers towards the north and north-east, particularly across parts

01:14 of Scotland. Still the chance of the odd thundery one here. Whereas towards the south and east,

01:18 particularly southern and eastern parts of England, plenty of sunny spells. But notice

01:22 rain gathering towards the south-west. That's set to move in across the UK as we go through

01:26 Sunday night.

01:27 Temperatures once again pretty much where they should be for the time of year. High

01:29 teens to low 20s Celsius. But with lighter winds, particularly across England and Wales,

01:34 feeling a little bit warmer out and about.
