00:23 The 39-year-old Melvin Mandaca was arrested in his house in Dasmariñas City, Cavite.

00:30 The suspect was charged with assaulting a 19-year-old grade 7 student with an intellectual disability.

00:39 According to the initial investigation by the police,

00:41 the two met at a dating site and agreed to meet at a gas station in Barangay Holy Spirit, Quezon City.

00:50 But the suspect led the victim to Cavite.

00:54 They met at a dating site and agreed to meet after one month.

01:01 And then they met at a gas station where the suspect forced the victim to come with him.

01:09 The family first reported to the police that the victim was missing.

01:14 They also used social media.

01:16 His brother was missing and someone private messaged him that the child was in their neighborhood.

01:31 When the family found the victim, they immediately reported to the police.

01:37 The follow-up operation was successful.

01:40 The victim's mother was shocked by what happened to her youngest child.

01:45 We were all shocked because he was the first one to leave the house alone.

01:50 He was the only one who knew how to commute.

01:56 He was in school and he was a kid.

01:59 We were looking for him. We were calling his cell phone but we couldn't reach him.

02:10 We asked the suspect about the allegations against him.

02:14 I was wrong. I was just thinking about him.

02:25 I showed him that his parents don't know about us.

02:36 The victim denied that they have a relationship with the suspect.
