00:00 Welcome to this week's bulletin featuring some of the stories making the headlines in

00:09 this week's 5th Wee Press. The paper is on sale from Thursday morning so please do pick

00:13 up a copy when you're out and about. School terms are about to start very shortly this

00:19 month but the pupils go back with a warning of possible strike action ahead as janitors

00:24 and classroom assistants have voted for industrial action as part of a pay dispute. It may take

00:29 some weeks before there's any impact on primary schools and secondaries but we have the full

00:33 story on what's happening behind the scenes as the pay dispute rumbles on. We also look

00:38 at Birn Island's links with its twin town of Lichford as the latest locals head off

00:43 to Norway on an exchange trip. Some of them even set sail across to the Scandinavian country.

00:49 Full details and we'll look back on this historic link, one of the oldest around in this week's

00:53 paper. Closer at home we have the Rockcore music festival. The Rockcore's about to take

00:57 centre stage. It happens next weekend. We spoke to the organisers about how they've

01:02 managed to succeed where so many festivals in Scotland have failed this year. Not only

01:06 has it sold out, it's sold out in record time and with a cracking line-up. Read all about

01:14 tell you all about what happens. We also report on a big public meeting in Lochgelly this

01:19 week and plans to protest when Scottish Office Minister Michael Matheson comes to town to

01:24 see for himself the state of the health centre. That's the health centre that was due to be

01:28 replaced several years ago but the funding was kicked into the long grass. Over 130 folk

01:33 turned up at the meeting this week that was called by Alec Rowley, MSP. Our reporter Daniel

01:37 Van Rieden was there as well and shares the full story on how the community plans to make

01:41 sure the Minister gets the message when he comes across here next month. And we also

01:45 tell the amazing story of a Kirkcaldy man who's undertaking the Kilt Walk and he's doing

01:50 it to raise funds for the charity air ambulance that saved his life three years ago. It's
