As the summer approaches an end and normal work and school life is set to resume, you may be looking for activities around town to squeeze into the last of the holidays.

Well, if that’s you then here is your guide to events around Glasgow that cater to every member of the family.

First up, the UCI Cycling World Championships are ongoing until 13 August.

A number of competitions which are free to spectate are happening all across the city, and you can check a timetable online to find out when and where to go.

Also, simultaneous to the races there is a free programme of live entertainment at George Square everyday - the event’s official fan zone.

The square has been transformed into a venue hosting various activities including a showcase of Scottish music with performances from Celtic Connections, Piping Live and Glasgow Mela.

Next, Banksy’s Cut and Run exhibition will be at the GOMA until 28 August.

The globally renowned street artist has showcased some of his most iconic works alongside several new pieces.

While pre-booked slots are sold out, ‘walk-up’ tickets are available each day from 8.45am.
