The Kawasaki Ki-100 was a fighter aircraft used by Japan during World War II. It was also known as the Type 5 Fighter by the Japanese Army. It was a modified version of the Kawasaki Ki-61, which had an inline engine. The Ki-100 replaced the inline engine with a radial engine, the Mitsubishi Ha-112-II, which improved its performance and reliability. The Ki-100 was one of the best interceptors of the Japanese Army and could challenge the American fighters and bombers.
