00:00 A resolution condemning harassment and Chinese invasion of the West Philippines was adopted by the Senate.

00:06 In the resolution, the Senate urged the government to take action to protect the sovereign rights of the Philippines

00:12 in its Exclusive Economic Zone and Continental Shelf.

00:15 The resolution also called on China to stop its illegal activities in accordance with the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea

00:23 and the 2016 arbitral ruling that was passed in the Philippines.

00:27 The resolution was co-authored by all senators.

00:30 According to Senate President Juan Miguel Zubiri,

00:32 they are giving the government the choice on how to deal with China.
