00:45 walked in shook his hand and said that's me you know thanks for everything you've

00:49 done for me. You know the little football game we play I'm the chairperson so the

00:53 decision-maker so I had to pass the chair over to Ben Ducat so that's how I

00:58 started it and then just said look boys it's me my last game.

01:59 eventually stop. Eventually stop stopping. But so I think I've had a love affair with the

02:07 Ashes my whole life and the thought of being able to bowl my last ball and face

02:13 my last ball versus Australia is something that fills me with joy so you

02:18 know that's come to fruition.

02:47 Ultimately I think the competitiveness of what Australia bring to cricket

02:52 brings out the best in me. I love that eye-to-eye battle I love the

02:58 energy the crowd brings and the history the battle and the rivalry that the

03:02 crowd brings to it and you know I think I know my emotions have to be sky-high

03:09 for me to be a good bowler and my competitive spirit has to be sky-high

03:12 for me to be a good bowler and I can promise you every single time I've run

03:15 in with the ball in my hand against Australia they've been there.

03:28 How do you hope that everyone remembers you and they look back at your career?

03:35 When I was a kid growing up I had sporting idols of the likes of sort of

03:39 Martin Johnson, Stuart Pearce and when I watched them what I wanted was I

03:44 loved their passion and their drive and I never looked at them and thought I

03:50 could do better in that shirt I could give more for that shirt and I think

03:53 ultimately how I've played my sport is I'd never want anyone in the crowd or

03:59 watching at home or listening on the radio to think he's not putting in or

04:03 he's not giving absolutely everything he's not putting his heart and soul into

04:06 it and I would say every day I've pulled on a Nottingham shirt and an

04:11 England shirt I've given my my heart and soul and you know I can't think that

04:17 there'd be too many cricket fans out there that would think I've

04:21 slacked off for a moment.
