Sinéad O’Connor Dies Aged 56

The Irish singer was best known for her cover of Prince’s “Nothing Compares 2 U” which became a number-one hit.     Sinéad was a prolific songwriter, releasing 10 studio albums in total.     She was also outspoken in her political convictions and spoke openly about her personal struggles.     Her family said, “It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Sinéad. Her family and friends are devastated and have requested privacy at this very difficult time”.  Report by Blairm.
