00:00 My first experience here was two years ago where the bowel screening service had found something
00:08 untoward and wanted to find out a few more sort of information what was going on. I was referred
00:14 to Leg and Valley, well I actually requested Leg and Valley. I come here and I got the camera
00:22 and it was through the camera then that I was diagnosed that day with bowel cancer.
00:28 I of course shocked the system but the staff were absolutely fantastic. They reassured me,
00:34 made everything nice and easy for me. I was here last Thursday for to get my yearly scope round,
00:41 the complete round of the bowel which was again the staff were absolutely brilliant. I got my tea
00:47 and my toast and all after it which was lovely. Well I was actually quite out of it and I didn't
00:54 know anything, I didn't feel a thing, not one thing at all until I was coming. I just was
00:59 waking up when the phone finished and brought it back up. It's great to be back home again
01:04 and then that cup of tea after and biscuits and that and then we headed off. It's all very quick.
01:10 I think this is an amazing milestone. It's really been such a huge effort. We have a fantastic team
01:18 right through from the booking teams to the clinical teams to all the staff that work in
01:23 the background and I can't thank them enough. It definitely is the future going forward.
01:28 This is the way that regional services have to improve and move. The respect I have for the
01:34 staff in here is absolutely fantastic. You couldn't ask for better and apart from that I am still on
01:40 my feet and thanks to the hospital here and just the scope I don't think I'd have been here today.
