00:00 Every ashes knock is important but I was very pleased with how I played and how it went
00:06 and the position we're in at the moment in the series. We're fighting back nicely so
00:10 we're in a good position to push this game forward now so hopefully we do that.
00:15 How much fun was it? You don't get a lot like that every day.
00:19 No it was a lot of fun. I rode my luck at times but played some nice shots along the
00:23 way and I enjoyed those. Batting with Mo is always fun as well, he's a funny guy and Ruthie
00:30 just takes so much pressure off you when you're batting so I enjoyed today.
00:34 It's fair to say under any other coach or captain I probably wouldn't be playing this
00:38 series so to be backed by them gives me a lot of confidence and they've always said
00:42 to me just don't worry about being consistent, just try and go and win games for England
00:47 and it would be really nice if we win this game and hopefully I've contributed to that.
00:51 I think it was obviously a taxing session because Crawley was so dominant and he played
00:57 so well right from the onset. We obviously had some clear plans for him but he was too
01:02 good on a wicket like this today so I think that period where him and Root got together
01:06 it was almost all out attack. We knew how important that partnership was and the run
01:11 rate obviously got away from us where in the past when we've gone to that plan we've still
01:15 been able to manage the run rate and today it wasn't possible and that was because two
01:21 batsmen were too good on the day.
