00:00 Hi, my name is Wo Cai. Welcome to the instruction of cash out. I've always enjoyed money magic
00:05 But I never liked the idea of having to borrow a bill
00:10 Turn it into something like a hundred dollars. It's a miracle at that point
00:13 But when you have to turn it back to the dollar bill and head it back to them
00:17 It's very disappointing and cash out solves the problem. That's why I created cash out for myself. Shop with your magic
00:23 It's always going to be your wallet. Grab your wallet out, turn a piece of white paper into a bill
00:29 It's a miracle and I really I can't tell you how much I like I love to
00:33 Make one set for yourself and I'll see you then
00:37 It's pretty difficult to show you how to construct the gimmick right here
00:41 So instead I'm gonna show you with the camera up there. I'll see you in a bit
00:45 Here are what you need to construct cash out gimmick index cards
00:57 Matte finish tape, double-stick tape
00:59 Reinforcement tape
01:02 Scissors for obvious reasons we need to do cuttings
01:04 Rubber band and the final piece of paper. Now I'm gonna talk about the size of the index card that you use
01:10 It really depends on the bill that you're using. At the moment. I'm in Vancouver, Canada and this is a
01:17 Canadian $20 bill as long as the index card is larger than the bill size. It's fine
01:25 And for the paper
01:27 piece of paper here I
01:30 Have actually folded the paper in half
01:32 Now as long as when you fold it the bill stays inside of the sleeve
01:38 That's the right size. However, it really doesn't matter for this piece
01:43 It's just that it could be smaller, but it's just that it'll look prettier at the end
01:48 finish gimmick if you have a
01:52 Paper that's longer than the bill after it's folded in half and let's proceed to the construction instruction
01:58 Now let's start to make the gimmick
02:13 First take out your two index cards and the piece of paper fold the piece of paper in half
02:19 like so
02:21 And you need a bill to measure the size
02:23 And the scissors. However, I'm gonna use my cutter to save time my personal preference
02:28 If you don't have a cutter a scissor would work just fine
02:31 You will need to cut the two piece of index card slightly bigger than the bill itself
02:39 Right there
02:48 I would say leave about half a centimeter space
02:51 And you'll need to cut the piece of paper
03:03 To that size too
03:09 see
03:11 Now you're already halfway done. Easy as that.
03:34 This portion is going to be the sleeve that accommodates the bill
03:39 And these two pieces will be the shell
03:45 That's gonna make the gimmick durable and last you a long time before you have to replace it. So let's do this
03:55 first
03:58 Take out your double-stick tape
04:06 Tape on the side
04:15 As close as you could
04:24 But
04:26 You don't need to be too precise because you can already see that it's going to be in the gimmick anyway
04:34 I always do these two sides first before I apply double-stick tape on this side
04:52 If you make a few more you know that it's gonna save you a lot of time measuring
04:57 This piece
05:01 can always go on top of the other two
05:04 Apply this piece on top of it
05:11 Ta-da!
05:13 Okay, you're two-third of the way done. Now the other side
05:30 Now sometimes you'll get these air bubbles. Not sure if you can catch it. I'm not sure if you can see it. But it's like a bubble.
05:37 Now sometimes you'll get these air bubbles. Not sure if you can catch that on camera. If you stick this piece on top of that with the air bubble, it's going to make it really hard to operate.
05:44 So my suggestion is to cut it open as long as it's flat.
05:46 Now sometimes you'll get these air bubbles. Not sure if you can catch that on camera. If you stick this piece on top of that with the air bubble, it's going to make it really hard to operate.
05:58 So my suggestion is to cut it open as long as it's flat.
06:01 If you stick this piece on top of that with the air bubble, it's going to make it really hard to operate.
06:08 So my suggestion is to cut it open as long as it's flat.

06:48 So my suggestion is to cut it open as long as it's flat.
06:50 So my suggestion is to cut it open as long as it's flat.
06:52 So my suggestion is to cut it open as long as it's flat.
06:54 So my suggestion is to cut it open as long as it's flat.
06:56 So my suggestion is to cut it open as long as it's flat.
06:58 So my suggestion is to cut it open as long as it's flat.

07:08 So my suggestion is to cut it open as long as it's flat.
07:10 So my suggestion is to cut it open as long as it's flat.
07:12 So my suggestion is to cut it open as long as it's flat.
07:14 So my suggestion is to cut it open as long as it's flat.
07:16 So my suggestion is to cut it open as long as it's flat.
07:22 And if you want to cut your spoon, place it on your back.
07:26 And if you want to cut your spoon, place it on your back.
07:36 And if you want to cut your spoon, place it on your back.
07:50 Yep, that's about the right size.
07:52 Now let's make the palm leaf piece.
08:04 Pick an index card piece that's about that size.
08:10 That's about the right size that we need.
08:18 That's the right size that we need.
08:20 Now you have a small piece.
08:26 About that size.
08:32 I'll show you if you can see that. It's about that size.
08:34 Take a reinforcement piece.
08:40 Take a reinforcement piece.
08:42 Stick to the end.
08:44 Stick to the end.
08:46 Stick to the end.
08:48 Stick to the end.
08:50 Edge.
08:52 Right there.
08:54 Right there.
08:56 Take a hole punch.
08:58 Punch in the center of that reinforcement piece.
09:00 Punch in the center of that reinforcement piece.
09:02 That's closing to the end.
09:04 That's closing to the end.
09:06 Like so.
09:08 Like so.
09:10 Take a piece of tape.
09:16 Take the piece shut.
09:28 Take the piece shut.
09:30 And that's going to be your bowl leaf.
09:32 And that's going to be your bowl leaf.
09:34 And that's going to be your bowl leaf.
09:36 Now comes the last step.
09:54 You might not be able to catch
09:56 You might not be able to catch
09:58 the image on the camera clearly
10:00 because it's white.
10:02 But in your gimmick, you don't drop it.
10:04 That's the central line of the gimmick.
10:06 That's the central line of the gimmick.
10:08 After you open it,
10:10 you will need to cut a hole
10:12 you will need to cut a hole
10:14 right about there.
10:16 Because that's where you will be holding
10:22 the gimmick
10:24 on the other side.
10:26 And you will stick this piece,
10:28 the pulley piece,
10:30 right about there.
10:32 This piece?
10:34 Must be there, exactly.
10:40 I'll show you an example.
10:46 The easiest way to do that
10:50 is put the pulley right there
10:52 with the tape facing yourself.
10:56 with the tape facing yourself.
10:58 And that's your gimmick.
11:00 That's it, perfect.
11:02 Now it's important to have a little space
11:04 Now it's important to have a little space
11:06 in between the edge and the pulley.
11:08 in between the edge and the pulley.
11:10 Because if you have no space,
11:12 when you thread the rubber band,
11:14 it will not have
11:16 a good space
11:18 to hide the rubber band in the gimmick
11:20 to reduce friction
11:22 on the wall and the gimmick.
11:24 So all you have to do now
11:26 is to cut this part out.
11:28 I'm going to use a hole punch
11:30 because I just happen to have one
11:32 to make my job easier.
11:34 to make my job easier.
11:36 If there's anything
11:40 that I wanted to say about
11:42 where this is
11:44 where this is
11:46 where this is
11:48 where this is
11:50 where this is
11:52 where this is
11:54 it's not in the center
11:56 of the second half piece.
11:58 of the second half piece.
12:00 It's a little bit toward the
12:02 central point.
12:04 Because that way, you have a grip
12:06 and when the gimmick snaps back
12:08 and when the gimmick snaps back
12:10 you can firmly grab the gimmick
12:12 and when it snaps back
12:14 it snaps back into the wallet fully
12:16 so you won't have anything left
12:18 sticking out from the wallet.
12:20 sticking out from the wallet.
12:22 So
12:24 the last step is to thread
12:26 the rubber band through
12:28 the hole
12:30 the hole
12:32 the hole
12:34 the hole
12:36 the hole
12:38 the hole
12:40 the hole
12:42 The reason why I choose to thread the rubber band this way
12:44 is this is actually
12:46 a safety feature.
12:48 You're allowed to save it in your wallet.
12:50 The worst thing
12:52 that can happen for this type of magic
12:54 is it doesn't work at all.
12:56 Now if you thread the rubber band this way
12:58 you will have to replace the rubber band
13:00 from time to time.
13:02 But this is more
13:04 like a safety feature.
13:06 This trick will never fail.
13:08 Because the way you thread the rubber band
13:10 this way, you have two strings
13:12 from the knot.
13:14 Sometimes it breaks
13:16 eventually you have to replace the rubber band
13:18 but you don't want that to happen
13:20 during the performance.
13:22 It will always break but
13:24 it's less than likely that two strings
13:26 will break together.
13:28 Which is a good safety feature.
13:30 That means the trick will never fail.
13:32 It might not look as cool but it will never fail you.
13:34 Even if the rubber band
13:36 is broken.
13:38 That's a very crucial feature
13:40 in this type of magic.
13:44 Let's talk about
13:46 how you operate the gimmick.

20:21 - Now that you have all your gimmick installed in your wallet,
20:24 let's talk about how you would operate it in.
20:27 First, you will need the right grip.
20:31 Your middle finger and your thumb would clip the wallet.
20:33 When you open your wallet, you would extend your thumb,
20:37 put the thing on the wallet to keep it open.
20:39 Your middle finger would be over that edge to have a good,
20:43 like if I apply pressure to my thumb that way,
20:47 I will have a huge gap between the gimmick and the face bills,
20:54 which I then insert my index finger into the wallet,
21:00 pull on the gimmick.
21:01 I really can't find an easier way to explain how this trick works,
21:07 because it's really as simple as pulling everything out of one unit.
21:11 - Let the gimmick snap back to the wallet.
21:13 - And retain one bill in your hand.
21:16 Wouldn't that be one of the easiest things you do in magic?
21:19 All you have to do is buy stuff with your magic,
21:22 shop with them, and hand it out for examination, everything.
21:26 It's as simple as that.
21:29 [Music]
21:58 And now comes to the end of the DVD.
22:00 Again, thank you for your support.
22:02 This will be a very exciting year for myself,
22:05 as I'm introducing my fellow artist to the North American market.
22:09 Wait to see.
22:10 [Music]
22:18 Okay, here comes the credit section.
22:20 I'd like to give credit to my buddy, Shao Fa Kua.
22:23 He was the one, initially, I came up with the trick with
22:27 the two-layer, one-layer gimmick to cover the bill
22:31 and give me the snapback like you've seen in the video.
22:35 But Shao was the person who brought up the idea of
22:39 using a two-sided shawl, like in Anguor.
22:42 And that way, I get to handle the gimmick more freely on both sides.
22:47 It's a great idea, which turned out to be very effective,
22:50 and I love the idea on my own.
22:52 So, the credit goes to him.
