The first Dubai-based author to bag a prestigious two-book deal with the American publishing giant Holt, Sara Hamdan talks about her novel, 'What Will People Think?'. Based on a young Arab-American woman who aspires to be a stand-up comic in New York City, the novel examines issues of identity and how one navigates it. Sara also talks at length about the challenges of being a full-time writer, and how it took her almost a decade to see the book come to life.
