00:00 Hi, today I am going to make white chocolate peanut butter chocolate cake truffles.
00:06 I was making cupcakes for Valentine's Day, and I didn't have enough frosting to finish so I have extra cupcakes and
00:14 This is what I'm going to do with them. I have this delicious
00:18 white chocolate peanut butter
00:21 So I'm going to crumble the cakes, mix in the peanut butter
00:25 Put it in some heart-shaped molds, and then cover it in chocolate
00:29 Just getting messy with this one crumbling cakes feels good. You should definitely try this once in your life
00:40 All right our cake is ready to go the best thing about this style of dessert is that you can use any
00:51 Sort of cake that you want it can be a box it can be from scratch any flavor combinations you like
00:57 You can color the cake so the inside the different color if you want because I'm winging it here
01:04 And I am just using leftover cupcakes. I
01:06 Don't know exactly how much peanut butter
01:09 I'm going to need and to be honest. I've never used peanut butter in this I've made
01:15 Oreo truffles before with Oreos and cream cheese, and I've made
01:20 Cake pops before with cake and frosting so I am
01:24 Winging this peanut butter thing I
01:28 Will be continuing to use my hands to make sure that I'm not over moistening these
01:34 If they're too wet they're never going to form and stay
01:40 Together could I be using the spoon absolutely do I want to nope I?
01:46 Want the whole thing to come together as one large ball, and that's how I'll know that I had added enough peanut butter
01:53 It is still very crumbly so I'm going to add more peanut butter
01:57 I know that I'm not finished because there are still streaks of peanut butter that I can clearly see
02:09 So I just got to keep mixing until
02:12 Everything's together so the ratio here seems to be six cupcakes to two tablespoons of peanut butter
02:18 It's all a uniform color right now. There are no streaks of peanut butter through it, and it's clumped together in one unit
02:25 And I'll just press my dough inside
02:29 Maybe I should try this before I spend all the time
02:38 Nice consistency good balance of chocolate to the white chocolate peanut butter
02:43 I'm gonna pop these into the freezer to speed things along
02:51 I've let these set in the freezer for about 10 minutes
02:56 And now we'll dip them in our melted chocolate and drip dry them on our rack
03:01 I'm just going to smooth out any imperfections with my hands
03:06 That looks cute just like that. I like that. That looks cute with the two layers
03:13 Ooh
03:17 Here's my idea
03:18 I'm going to do the top layer red
03:20 And then I'm going to melt down some dark chocolate and dip the bottom so we got two layers of chocolate adding more flavors and
03:27 complexities to these
03:32 These have set up nicely in the fridge and now I'll dip them in my dark chocolate at all points in this process
03:38 You want to make sure that the cake is quite cold because the chocolate is warm
03:43 If it's not cold the cake will just crumble once it hits the chocolate
03:47 So you get a messy spoonful and then just let it drip down
03:55 Get messy sloppy
03:59 Think I've lost it. I think I've lost the effect I was going for
04:02 Voila our last-minute impromptu Valentine's Day treat the lucky thing about Valentine's Day this year is it's on a Saturday
04:13 So if you have cupcakes at your work party on Friday, you can take the leftovers
04:19 Mix it all up with the frosting instead of the peanut butter that I used
04:23 mold them you can even just do them in simple balls if you don't have the shaper and
04:28 Then dip them into chocolate and there you go
04:31 impressive but simple to do
04:33 Hopefully you'll get these a try. Let me know how they work out in the comments below if you do
