Birmingham headlines 12 June: Vigil takes place in Birmingham after four road traffic deaths, including two children
A vigil took place in honour of the four road traffic accident victims across the city in recent weeks, including two children, on Saturday. The vigil took place near Belgrave Middleway where Hussien Nur Teklise died. Over 50 were said to be in attendance.

Three people were arrested after shots were fired in Newtown on Saturday night. Armed police found blank casings in a car park off Alma Street. A man and a woman both in their twenties as well as an 18 year old man were arrested in suspicion of possession of a firearm.

A man was jailed after he stabbed another man twice in Bartley Green. Christopher Hollis, who claimed to have been in a drug-induced psychosis stabbed a man at random twice in the back on Woodcock Lane, after entering two homes uninvited earlier.
