00:02 Coffee break with me, woo!
00:06 Hi guys!
00:08 Today I am here with my sexy naked face
00:11 because I'm gonna do a review, a more in-depth review
00:15 on the Becca Ultimate Coverage Complexion Cream.
00:19 This is the newest foundation that Becca just launched
00:22 and a problem with Becca is that
00:25 it's a really hard to find brand.
00:28 I think they only sell it at Sephora
00:31 and only certain Sephoras carry it.
00:33 Like bigger, mainstream, more...
00:36 Sephoras that are in bigger cities
00:40 are the ones that get Becca.
00:41 If you're in a smaller town or a smaller Sephora
00:45 or a Sephora that doesn't have more mainstream brands,
00:47 you're not gonna find it.
00:48 So you can find it online if you would like
00:51 and it does have foundation descriptions
00:54 but I would say if you can test it out,
00:57 it's probably a better idea
00:59 because I'm in the color Buttercup
01:03 and when you look online, Buttercup is yellow
01:07 to neutral undertones and it's a medium beige.
01:10 I'm never medium anything, I'm always light.
01:13 Well, not always.
01:14 Most of the time I'm light, sometimes I'm medium.
01:17 Anyway, I'm going on a tangent
01:19 but this review is on this foundation.
01:22 I just talked about it in a haul recently
01:25 and so many of you said,
01:26 "Please, please, yes, do a review on it."
01:28 I was wearing it in that video
01:30 and I am so happy with this foundation, you guys.
01:34 The idea behind this foundation,
01:37 you guys know how all products when they come out,
01:39 they have a claim, like what they're all about,
01:42 why you should buy that product versus another one.
01:44 This is supposed to be a complete, super duper,
01:48 heavy duty, full coverage foundation but not heavy.
01:53 So the way that it's full coverage
01:55 is normally foundations have five to 10% pigment or color.
02:00 This one has, I think, 21% pigment and water.
02:05 So it's still a heavy, full coverage foundation
02:10 but because it has so much more pigment,
02:12 you don't have to use as much,
02:14 therefore it's not as heavy or feels more uncomfortable.
02:19 I will have to say, if I were to compare this
02:21 to any other foundation that I've tried,
02:23 I would say it is very similar to the Kat Von D
02:28 Tattoo Lock It Tattoo Foundation thing,
02:32 you know, the one in the clear plastic acrylic.
02:36 I tried that foundation and I swear,
02:38 I wanted to peel off my face with a potato peeler.
02:42 It was awful, it was heavy and uncomfortable.
02:47 It never dried or it never set,
02:50 so it transferred on everything.
02:53 I just had a really bad experience with it.
02:55 That foundation is hit or miss with most people.
03:01 You either really, really, really like it
03:03 or really, really hate it.
03:04 Unfortunately, it didn't work for me.
03:07 But if I were to compare it to this one,
03:10 I would say it's very similar.
03:12 The only difference is the results or how you feel.
03:15 So consistency wise, it's the same thickness,
03:19 it smells the same, it provides the same amount
03:22 of super heavy duty full coverage.
03:25 But this one for me dries really fast
03:29 and it dries like a powdery matte finish.
03:32 Super comfortable, it gives you a flawless face.
03:35 And it's just, it's incredible.
03:39 Unlike the Kat Von D one that never dried on me,
03:42 it never set, it never dried, it was super heavy,
03:45 like I could feel that I was wearing it.
03:48 I can't feel this one.
03:50 I will have to say though, my least favorite part
03:52 about it if I had to say something is it dries too fast
03:56 and it's a little thick.
03:58 So for those of us like me that are obsessed
04:01 with using your beauty blender,
04:03 you have to work really, really fast.
04:05 So I'm not gonna waste any more time
04:07 but I'm gonna show you guys how I apply it
04:09 so you guys can kinda see the difference
04:11 on how it makes my face look.
04:13 And then we'll talk more about it.
04:15 The first thing I'm gonna do is get my hair out of my face
04:17 because I don't like to have foundation in my hair
04:20 and it always ends up happening.
04:21 I already primed my face with Benefit's Porefessional.
04:24 And now what I'm gonna do is I'm gonna show you
04:26 what this foundation looks like.
04:27 This is what the foundation looks like.
04:28 It's really sleek, it's in a rubberized tube
04:31 with a silver lid.
04:33 It has a pump and it's kinda strange.
04:35 I don't know how I discovered this
04:36 but it doesn't have like a straw.
04:40 You guys see that?
04:41 Most foundations have like a straw
04:43 where the foundation comes out of.
04:44 This one, the pump works but there's no straw.
04:47 I don't know how, it's like magic but it works.
04:51 So it's a really thick foundation.
04:53 It's almost like a mousse-y like foundation.
04:55 And let me show you what it looks like.
04:59 It looks like that.
05:03 And the foundation color may look a little strange.
05:05 It may look like it doesn't match.
05:08 It may look like a weird whatever
05:10 but you guys remember that I use lighting
05:12 and it can look different.
05:14 So it is my color, I promise.
05:16 So if you guys are Rattan and Double Wear,
05:19 if you're 3.0 in Urban Decay, C3 in MAC,
05:24 you're probably buttercup in this Becca foundation.
05:27 So you guys can see how thick it is.
05:29 It goes nowhere.
05:30 It doesn't slide down your hand, doesn't do anything.
05:32 It's incredible.
05:33 And so I'm just gonna put it on half of my face
05:36 so that you guys can see the difference.
05:39 It's really thick so you have to work super, super fast.
05:42 So I'm gonna try not to talk so much
05:44 so that I don't end up looking like a hot mess
05:47 but it is definitely a really thick foundation.
05:51 But again, most full coverage foundations are this thick.
05:55 If you are a brush lover,
05:57 like you like to apply foundations with a brush,
06:00 this is definitely a foundation for you.
06:03 It would be a lot easier to apply this foundation
06:06 with a brush but I don't like using brushes.
06:09 I don't know if I've told you guys that before
06:10 but I hate using brushes.
06:12 I don't like to apply my foundation with a brush.
06:15 I even tried the Sigma F80, the Kabuki brush,
06:19 that everyone likes here on YouTube
06:21 and I ended up selling it, like reselling it
06:23 because I didn't like it.
06:25 And it's not because, oh, the brush sucks.
06:28 No, the brush is really good
06:30 but I just don't prefer to use it.
06:32 I like the power, the control
06:38 that I have with the Beauty Blender.
06:40 I like the finish that it gives.
06:42 It's just, I don't know,
06:44 I guess it's what I learned to use the most
06:47 and so when I try to go and use a brush,
06:49 I just, I don't like the results that it gives.
06:52 But I do use a brush sometimes
06:55 and the brush that I really like to use,
06:57 in case you're wondering,
07:00 is the Real Techniques Expert Face Brush.
07:04 This brush is really, really good.
07:06 It buffs out really nice
07:08 and it hardly ever leaves brush strokes.
07:10 The brush strokes really depend
07:11 on the type of foundation you use.
07:13 If it's a really runny foundation,
07:14 it's gonna leave brush strokes.
07:16 The thicker the foundation,
07:17 the less brush strokes that you get.
07:20 So there it is on half of my face.
07:22 I don't know if you guys can tell the difference.
07:24 I can because I'm sitting in front of a mirror
07:26 but it just, like I said in my haul video,
07:31 it gives you another face.
07:34 Like it's almost like you replaced the skin
07:36 and it just makes it perfect.
07:38 What I did like about this foundation as well
07:41 is it's one of those foundations
07:45 where if you have blemishes on your face,
07:48 if you use this foundation as a concealer, it works.
07:53 So you could layer it and it would cover.
07:55 That's how much full coverage it provides.
07:58 It is really, really awesome.
07:59 If my panda eyes weren't so out of control,
08:02 I would say it even covers panda eyes.
08:04 So if you guys have little baby panda eyes,
08:06 you could probably skip concealer.
08:12 The other thing is that it is buildable.
08:15 Even though you do not need it,
08:17 one coat is more than enough or one layer.
08:21 It is buildable and it doesn't oxidize.
08:24 So it doesn't change color on you.
08:25 The color that you pump out
08:26 is the color that it dries on your face.
08:28 Go ahead and finish the other side now.
08:30 (upbeat music)
08:33 (upbeat music)
08:35 (upbeat music)
09:03 This is my full face covered in this magical unicorn
09:08 newborn baby tears foundation.
09:10 I swear you guys, I am,
09:11 I think it's too soon to move it into holy grail status,
09:16 but it is definitely an incredible foundation.
09:20 I'm gonna go ahead and finish my makeup
09:21 and I'll be right back.
09:22 Okay, so I went ahead and finished my makeup
09:24 and I'm gonna let you guys know my final thoughts.
09:27 This Becca foundation is amazing.
09:30 I really like it.
09:32 It's very tricky to find a full coverage foundation
09:36 that doesn't make you look cakey,
09:39 that is hard to work with,
09:41 that actually sets or dries on your skin
09:44 because normally full coverage foundations are really thick.
09:48 Definitely hands down,
09:50 my favorite full coverage foundation
09:52 is the three in one from CoverGirl,
09:55 but I will have to say that I am in between colors.
09:59 I hate to buy two bottles of foundation
10:02 and mix it to find my right color.
10:04 I refuse to do that.
10:05 So when I use the CoverGirl one,
10:08 I just use that one and just try and fix it
10:11 with powder and bronzer.
10:12 This one is my exact shade and it's incredible.
10:15 It does come with a hefty price tag.
10:18 I don't remember off the top of my head
10:20 if it's 40 or $44 for 1.01 ounces.
10:24 So it's basically a one ounce bottle like most foundations.
10:29 A couple of tips on applying it.
10:32 If you are a fan of the beauty blender like me,
10:35 when you're going to use your beauty blender,
10:38 don't squeeze out all of the water.
10:41 Normally what I do and what I recommend everyone do
10:44 is dampen your beauty blender
10:45 and then squeeze out the water
10:47 and then wrap it in a paper towel and squeeze it again
10:49 so that it's damp but not wet.
10:52 When I use this foundation,
10:55 I wring it out really, really well
10:58 and then I just kind of lightly pat it on a paper towel.
11:00 So I keep it a little bit more damp than usual
11:03 and that really helps spread out the foundation.
11:06 Another thing that I would suggest is to do your face,
11:09 if you like to take your time and enjoy applying your makeup
11:13 so you do it a lot slower,
11:15 I would say do half of your face first
11:17 and then the other half
11:18 rather than dotting your whole face and then applying it
11:21 because it will dry fast and you can get little marks
11:25 of where you dotted your foundation.
11:28 And I think the last thing is I would say use it,
11:33 I definitely recommend it for oily skin.
11:37 I don't know if I would recommend it for dry skin.
11:42 I don't see why not.
11:43 If you wear like a moisturizing or a hydrating primer,
11:47 it should be okay.
11:48 I wouldn't feel comfortable recommending it
11:52 to someone with crater-sized pores,
11:55 you know if you suffer from those really big pores,
11:58 it would probably emphasize the size of your pores.
12:01 So use like a pore filler primer or a pore blurring primer.
12:06 I use pore blurring primers, they're the ones that I prefer.
12:09 I use it all the time, even if I'm not wearing foundation,
12:12 light foundations, dewy foundations, matte foundations,
12:15 I always use a pore blurring primer
12:17 and I haven't had any issues with it.
12:19 But I do see this emphasizing your pore size
12:22 if you don't properly prime.
12:24 But other than that, it's an amazing foundation.
12:28 Get a sample if you can, try to get color matched
12:31 because the colors can be a little tricky.
12:33 Like I told you guys, I'm a medium,
12:35 medium yellow to neutral undertones.
12:38 I'm the color buttercup and usually I'm a light.
12:42 So it can be a little tricky to find your color.
12:45 But I think that's it.
12:47 If you guys enjoyed this foundation review,
12:50 please let me know in the comment section below.
12:52 My holy grail permanent, if I could only use
12:56 one foundation for the rest of my life,
12:58 it would be Urban Decay's Naked Skin.
13:00 So if you guys would like to see my thoughts on that one,
13:02 I would love to share them.
13:04 But I think that's it.
13:05 As always, if you guys found this video useful
13:07 or entertaining or learned something,
13:09 give me a thumbs up or subscribe if you haven't already.
13:11 And until next time, this coffee break is over.
