00:02 Coffee break with me.
00:05 Woo, hi guys.
00:07 So I told you guys on Instagram
00:09 that I was taking a week off.
00:11 Obviously, I am always incapable of doing that.
00:15 I tried to do it at Christmas time,
00:17 I tried to do it during the spring,
00:18 and now I'm trying to do it during the summer,
00:20 and I always fail.
00:22 I always say I'm going to take,
00:23 I think during Christmas I said
00:25 I was going to take two weeks off,
00:27 and I could only take like 11 days off,
00:29 so I totally failed.
00:30 In spring, same thing.
00:31 I think I only took two or three days off,
00:33 and then I was right back.
00:34 Today, I told you I was going to take the week off,
00:37 and now I'm back, and it's Friday,
00:38 and it's a little weird,
00:40 but I just can't stay away from you guys.
00:43 I miss you too much, I love the interaction.
00:46 I love sharing stuff with you guys.
00:48 I hope you feel the same way.
00:50 Is this unrequited love?
00:51 I hope it's not.
00:52 I hope you feel the same way about me.
00:54 Today I am back with a collab video,
00:56 and the reason I wanted to do a collaboration
00:58 is because you know when I do a collaboration,
01:02 it's because it's very useful to both of us.
01:05 So I am doing a collaboration
01:07 with one of my best friends in real life.
01:09 Her name is Samantha.
01:12 You probably already know who Samantha is,
01:14 because I always talk about her in my videos.
01:17 Samantha is basically,
01:19 if my mom had twins and was unaware,
01:23 and we look nothing alike, she's my twin.
01:27 Samantha is one of my friends
01:28 that understands the way that I think.
01:32 And oftentimes, oftentimes, I always say often,
01:36 oftentimes, like when I talk to my mom,
01:39 my mom's my best friend.
01:40 Obviously Mr. Man is my other best friend, just by default.
01:43 They always make me feel like I require,
01:48 I have really high expectations on life,
01:50 and I always get let down.
01:52 But Sam is one of those friends that thinks exactly like me,
01:55 so when I tell her,
01:57 "Oh, you're not gonna believe what my friend said to me,"
02:00 she gets it.
02:01 She's just one of those friends that gets you.
02:04 It took me 29 years of life
02:07 to find a friend that gets me the way I think,
02:10 that makes me feel like my thought process is normal,
02:13 that it's okay to feel that way.
02:15 And we just have a really, really great relationship.
02:19 My wife is, and she's someone that I know,
02:22 regardless of birth or death or fight,
02:27 she's always going to have my back.
02:29 And that just makes me feel so blessed
02:32 because it's very hard to go through life
02:35 without finding someone that you know
02:37 is gonna be your friend unconditionally.
02:39 So you guys would be doing me a great honor
02:42 by checking out her channel,
02:43 subscribing to her, supporting her.
02:45 I know YouTube can be a little difficult,
02:46 so if you guys can help out my friend Samantha
02:48 by checking out her channel,
02:49 if you feel that connection that I feel with her,
02:51 maybe you can subscribe to her.
02:53 She's just a great person.
02:55 And her cats, FYI, I don't like cats.
02:59 I don't like cats at all, but her cats are so cute.
03:03 They look like stuffed animals.
03:05 Anyway, I'm totally sidetracking,
03:06 and this is a very long introduction,
03:09 but Samantha's one of my best friends.
03:10 Please check out her channel after you've seen my video.
03:13 And we're gonna just talk about our summer essentials.
03:15 We were kind of debating on what kind of collaboration
03:18 to do, but it is a good collaboration
03:20 because we have different skin types,
03:23 she's blonde, our undertones are different.
03:25 Basically, we're different in all beauty aspects.
03:29 The only thing we're the same in is,
03:31 same is in our personalities, I guess you could say.
03:34 So I decided to dress appropriately for the topic at hand.
03:38 Do you guys like that?
03:39 I swear, I haven't worn this bikini since my honeymoon,
03:41 and that's been a long time already.
03:44 So I thought I would gather up products
03:47 that I will personally be using this summer
03:49 to kind of get through the hotter months.
03:52 And I know that you've seen summer essentials already,
03:54 and they're basically like glowy skin,
03:55 and highlight, and bronzer, and stuff like that.
03:58 This is gonna be a little bit different.
04:01 This is going to be directly personalized to me
04:06 what I'm going to be using this summer
04:09 to be on trend, to look cool, to refresh myself,
04:14 to not smell, you know what I mean?
04:16 I'm just gonna jump right in
04:17 and share with you guys the products
04:18 that I'm going to be putting to the grind
04:21 this summer season.
04:22 The first one that I wanna talk to you guys
04:24 is about a refreshing mist.
04:26 A lot of times, we tend to do our makeup,
04:29 we overpowder, we put on too much,
04:33 we get cake face, we go to the gym, we're sweaty,
04:36 it's halfway through the day,
04:37 and our face is looking kind of ratchet.
04:39 Basically, you want a product
04:44 that is going to make you feel refreshed,
04:47 and a product that is going to refresh your makeup.
04:50 So, the products that I like to use
04:52 are refreshing mists, or hydrating mists.
04:54 My two favorites are the Caudalie Eau de Beauté,
04:59 or the Pure Minerals Miracle Mist.
05:01 These are two facial products
05:03 that are really incredible at several things.
05:08 This one is my favorite for when
05:10 I don't have any makeup on.
05:11 It's halfway through the day,
05:12 and I'm feeling kind of raggedy, kind of sweaty.
05:16 I don't know, not as fresh as I did in the morning
05:19 when I first washed my face.
05:21 After a workout, if I go outside
05:23 and play Bubbles with Tater, or Sidewalk Talk, or whatever,
05:26 I spray this on afterwards,
05:28 and it just has antioxidants, vitamin C,
05:31 it has products that are going to wake you up,
05:34 and also wake up your actual organ of skin.
05:37 You know what I mean?
05:38 It's gonna perk you up, it's going to make you feel
05:40 refreshed, hydrated, moist again.
05:43 This one over here is a little bit more pricey
05:45 from Caudalie, it's a really high-end prestige brand.
05:48 It has really strong essential oils,
05:50 so if you accidentally spray this
05:53 with your eyes open, or into your mouth,
05:56 it will taste like spearmint, mint, rosemary,
06:00 you know, yerba buena, like that herb,
06:03 I think it's called spearmint, or mint.
06:05 It's very, very strong, but it's a really great product.
06:08 I mean, it's great for the skin.
06:11 It makes your face glow.
06:12 So these are products that you could use
06:14 to rehydrate, refresh your skin,
06:16 or rehydrate and refresh your makeup.
06:19 Of course, during the summer months,
06:20 we are outdoors, the sun is extra strong,
06:23 the sun is extra fierce, and the quickest way
06:28 to look old, to get wrinkles, is by sun exposure.
06:32 So you need a really great sunscreen.
06:35 A lot of foundations have sun protection,
06:38 but it's usually not strong enough
06:40 to provide the amount of protection that we need.
06:43 My favorite sunscreen of all time is by Clarins,
06:48 and it is kind of a pricey, prestige brand,
06:51 but it is worth every cent that it costs.
06:55 This little bottle will last me two summers, probably.
06:59 The actual sunscreen product is really thin.
07:03 It's so liquidy.
07:04 What deterred me from using a sunscreen
07:07 for a really long time, was I had that mental picture
07:11 of sunscreen from when I used to take swimming lessons,
07:13 growing up.
07:14 It's thick, it's white, it doesn't blend in,
07:17 it's heavy, it's sticky, it's gross.
07:19 That's what I always thought sunscreens were.
07:21 But if you really do your research
07:22 and try several facial sunscreens,
07:24 I guarantee that you're gonna find one that works for you.
07:27 This is definitely one that works for me.
07:29 My ride or die, this is the Clarins UV+ HP,
07:33 and this is a SPF of 40 titanium dioxide.
07:37 So it is a physical sunscreen,
07:39 but it is very, very lightweight and thin.
07:42 I swear you guys, if you put one drop
07:44 on the back of your hand, it'll just drip down your skin.
07:48 It is super liquidy, you put it on your face and your neck,
07:52 even your decollete, and it absorbs right away.
07:55 It leaves no remnants of anything ever being there.
07:59 No lotiony feeling, no greasy feeling, no oily feeling,
08:02 no white cast, nothing.
08:04 Go to your Sephora, Macy's, Dillard's, Nordstrom,
08:08 anywhere they sell Clarins.
08:10 It's a brand that is widely available.
08:12 Get a sample and you're going to be like,
08:13 "Dani, you changed my life."
08:15 And basically what I do with this is I apply my toner,
08:20 then I apply my serum,
08:22 then I apply my moisturizer and my eye cream,
08:26 and this goes last.
08:27 And this is amazing.
08:29 Next product I wanna talk to you guys about,
08:31 and it's kind of a sensitive subject
08:33 because a lot of us have Fred Flintstone feet.
08:38 That's not cool, guys.
08:39 It's sandal season, and if your feet
08:41 look like they belong in a coral reef, it is not okay.
08:45 So invest in a pumice stone.
08:48 Pumice stones are so cheap.
08:52 Go to Sally's, get that Mr. Pumice.
08:54 I think it's like a dollar.
08:56 And please exfoliate your feet.
08:58 Make your feet look nice and supple and soft,
09:01 not crackly and ratchet.
09:03 That is not a good look for the season.
09:05 My favorite one is actually a pumice on a rope.
09:08 I bought this, I think, at Walmart.
09:10 It was maybe like $3.
09:12 It has this contour on the bottom,
09:15 and it just helps you grind on the,
09:18 like the contours of your ankles.
09:20 So I never have crazy Fred Flintstone yabba-dabba-do feet
09:25 because I use a pumice stone right at the end of my shower
09:29 when my feet are as soft as they're going to get.
09:31 You get after it really good.
09:33 Put a little bit of body wash on there
09:35 if you're a little scared that it's too abrasive,
09:37 and get after your ankles, the edges of your toes,
09:40 and you want to have really, really soft baby feet
09:43 because you're wearing sandals.
09:45 You don't want to be one of those people
09:46 that have like those crackly, chalk-looking coral reef feet.
09:51 We already talked about protecting our feet.
09:52 We talked about protecting our skin,
09:54 but we have not talked about protecting our hair.
09:57 I'm not sure if you guys are aware,
09:59 but the sun rays, the UV rays, also eat your hair.
10:03 If you have dyed hair, if you have treated hair,
10:06 if you have permed hair,
10:08 if you have naked, natural, beautiful hair,
10:10 the sun will eat your hair.
10:12 It'll fade the color, it will damage it, it will dry it out,
10:15 and there is nothing better than a product
10:18 that will protect your beautiful hair.
10:21 Now, we use a lot of heat protectants
10:24 that are available at your drugstores, Walmarts, Targets,
10:27 but not, most of them aren't scientifically proven
10:32 to protect from the damaging effects of like a curling iron,
10:37 but this product is scientifically proven
10:41 to protect against UV rays and the damaging effects
10:45 of like a curling iron or a flat iron,
10:47 and this is the Bumble and Bumble Hairdressers
10:50 Invisible Oil Primer.
10:53 This is a spray bottle.
10:54 It's like a thick, white liquid.
10:56 You spray this in your hair after your shower,
10:59 and then you can style, you can blow dry,
11:01 you can do a ponytail.
11:02 You don't even have to style.
11:03 You can just let it air dry,
11:05 and it's going to put a protective layer
11:07 or a protective coating against all types of heat damage,
11:11 sun, UV rays, or even your curling iron products,
11:16 styling tools, basically.
11:18 It's amazing.
11:19 The only thing I don't like about this product
11:22 is it smells.
11:24 It smells, let me describe this.
11:29 It smells like one of those perfumes that's for men,
11:32 for men and women, if you know what I mean.
11:35 So it's strong.
11:36 It doesn't smell bad.
11:39 It just, it's going to interfere
11:42 with your personal choice of fragrance.
11:43 So if you use like Smell Good lotion
11:46 from Bath and Body Works,
11:47 if you use your own type of perfume,
11:49 this is definitely going to clash with it
11:51 because it has a really strong scent
11:53 of like a unisex cologne.
11:56 Speaking of smelling good,
11:58 I don't know if you guys are about this life,
12:01 but I'm part Armenian and I'm part Mexican,
12:06 so I need to use deodorant.
12:09 Let's be honest.
12:10 I use Clinical Strength deodorant,
12:12 and still, throughout the day,
12:14 I get a little paranoid that I may be stinking.
12:17 So I always like to pack a little Trevallo in my purse.
12:22 Is that weird?
12:24 That's totally weird, isn't it?
12:25 So Trevallo is like a travel perfume thing.
12:29 It's like a tiny little bullet.
12:31 You fill it with your own personal perfume
12:33 and you carry it around,
12:34 and any time you feel a little unsure, insecure,
12:36 or maybe you're starting to smell like hair,
12:38 you know when you're out in the sun
12:40 and you start to smell like hair?
12:41 Does anyone know what I'm talking about?
12:43 That weird smell?
12:44 Like wet dog?
12:46 Anyway, so I carry around my little Trevallo.
12:50 I put whatever my own personalized fragrance is in it,
12:54 and then whenever I'm feeling a little insecure
12:56 or something, I put on a little psst, psst,
12:58 like on the back of my ears, maybe in my hair,
13:00 to just make me feel a little bit more confident,
13:03 especially if it's been a long day.
13:05 So what I did is I got a brand new Trevallo,
13:08 and I wanna show you guys how to use it,
13:10 in case you're curious.
13:11 This is a product that's available at Kohl's,
13:14 Nordstrom Rack, where else?
13:17 Trevallo.com, Amazon.
13:19 It's really cheap.
13:20 I think it's like $10,
13:21 and it's amazing because you can put your own perfume in it
13:25 and you can smell good at all times.
13:27 So let me bring you guys in closer.
13:29 Welcome to my face.
13:30 So when you first buy a Trevallo, it looks like this.
13:33 It comes in like a little bullet,
13:34 and you open it, and this is the actual product.
13:38 So you can see how small it is.
13:39 This fits in your makeup bag,
13:40 it fits in your purse, in a diaper bag,
13:42 inclusively, inclusive?
13:45 I'm trying to like speak in Spanish at the same time.
13:48 So it's very convenient.
13:50 It has a little lid, and it doesn't spill.
13:52 Can you believe it?
13:53 There's nothing better than something that guarantees
13:55 it's not gonna spill all over your stuff
13:57 and ruin everything, because you know,
13:59 fragrance is usually oil and alcohol,
14:01 so that could be very devastating to your stuff.
14:04 If you see the bottom, it has like a little red dot.
14:06 That is how you fill the product,
14:08 and then it has a little clear window right here,
14:10 which is how you can tell how much product it has.
14:12 My Mr. Man is going out of town,
14:15 so I need to fill his Trevallo with fragrance,
14:18 and all you do is you take whatever fragrance you use.
14:23 Mr. Man uses Spice Balm.
14:25 So you just take the cover off,
14:27 and you see the little tip, or the spigot,
14:30 and you stab this into the bottom of your Trevallo,
14:34 and you pump over and over and over and over and over
14:37 and over and over and over and over.
14:39 I think it's like 20 pumps.
14:40 I don't remember exactly how much is it.
14:42 And you just keep going, and you can see on the side
14:44 of the Trevallo how full it is,
14:48 and you know exactly when to stop.
14:50 There's no way of it spilling out of here.
14:53 There's no way of it spilling out of here.
14:55 It doesn't make a mess.
14:57 It's very portable.
14:58 It's very convenient.
15:00 When it's full, it doesn't let you pump any more in,
15:02 and that's it.
15:03 I mean, you guys saw how little effort that is.
15:05 And basically, Mr. Man puts this in his travel case,
15:08 and he's ready to go.
15:09 If you're like me, and you feel a little bit self-conscious
15:11 about your special aroma emanating from you
15:14 throughout the day, and you're interested in a Trevallo,
15:17 check the description box below.
15:19 You may find something that interests you.
15:22 My next product is, of course, a bright nail polish.
15:26 I'm not gonna spend too much time talking about this.
15:28 This is what I have on my nails.
15:29 There is nothing happier than a bright manicure
15:32 during the hotter summer months,
15:34 and if it's reminiscent of grass or limes
15:37 and the bright, hot sun, why not?
15:39 These are two of my favorite colors.
15:41 This is from Benita Colors, and it's called Pair Me Up.
15:44 Pear, like the fruit.
15:45 And then this is from Orly, and this is called Tropical Pop.
15:49 Two of my favorite colors.
15:50 They're absolutely beautiful,
15:53 and you don't need a white base.
15:55 If you don't know what I'm talking about,
15:57 you'll wanna watch my neons video.
15:59 What else do I have for you guys?
16:01 Speaking about brightness, you may have noticed
16:04 what I'm wearing on my eyes,
16:05 and this is a really, really hot trend
16:08 going on this summer, and that is graphic eyeliner.
16:13 Dramatic, bright, graphic eyeliner.
16:15 Something very kind of like promo campaign looking.
16:20 So what I did is I did a really long,
16:23 bright blue winged eyeliner,
16:26 just to show you guys a little example.
16:28 But I also wanna share with you
16:30 my favorite four eyeliners for this summer.
16:34 First one is Chaos from Urban Decay,
16:36 and this is just a really pretty smurf blue.
16:39 I'm gonna do kind of a big swatch
16:40 so you guys can see how pretty that is.
16:42 The color that I'm wearing today
16:44 is actually a liquid liner from NYX,
16:46 and it is called Extreme Blue,
16:50 and it is so pretty.
16:52 The first time I used this, I was like,
16:54 "Wow, I think it burns."
16:55 I think it burns, but it didn't.
16:57 I think it was just whatever I was wearing on my eyes.
17:00 That is right there on the bottom of my wrist.
17:03 And then I have two other drugstore ones for you.
17:06 A Jane Water Resistant Liner,
17:08 and this is in Lime Green.
17:11 I think I wore this for you guys in a video already,
17:14 but I'm not sure.
17:16 That's right there.
17:17 You guys know my excellent swatches.
17:20 And then if you're a liquid liner girl like me,
17:23 it's a lot easier to do a graphic liner
17:25 with a liquid liner.
17:26 This is the Ultra Fine Liquid Liner
17:28 in Emerald Glisten from Milani.
17:33 And it has a really cute felt tip point.
17:37 But this one, not only is it a liquid liner,
17:40 but it also has glitter.
17:42 Yes, glitter all up in the liquid liner.
17:45 It's really awesome.
17:46 That's right there.
17:47 Of course, if we want to complete our summer looks,
17:52 not only could we do a bright graphic liner,
17:55 but we could also do a bronzer-looking blush.
18:00 Does that make sense?
18:01 So my favorite bronzer type blush
18:03 is a really burnt deep bronzer-ish color,
18:08 and this is Sunbask from MAC.
18:10 This is a sheer tone blush, so it is sheer,
18:13 but you guys could see the color.
18:14 It's almost like a burnt peach.
18:16 It gives you the prettiest sun-kissed glow,
18:19 but because it's a blush,
18:20 you can apply it liberally to this area of your face.
18:24 It'll give you that sun-kissed glow,
18:25 but it will also give you kind of those effects
18:27 of like a contour,
18:28 where it'll make your face look a little bit more slim.
18:31 Along with this, I have been loving my CC cream
18:36 from It Cosmetics.
18:37 I did a first impression and review on this product
18:39 just recently, which I will link
18:40 in the description box below,
18:41 but this has not left my face for a second.
18:45 It is so amazing.
18:47 I know a lot of you were like, "It has snail poop.
18:49 "Ew, it's gross."
18:51 If you guys knew the kind of other products
18:53 that are in your other makeup things,
18:55 basically what I'm saying is,
18:57 I put a lot worse on my face than natural snail poop,
19:00 so it doesn't really scare me,
19:01 but if that scares you, I'm sorry.
19:03 You probably don't want to use this,
19:05 but it is a great product.
19:07 It's buildable, full coverage.
19:09 It has sun protection of 50.
19:11 It has an anti-aging serum.
19:13 Basically, it's like seven products in one.
19:15 It is totally, totally amazing and great for the skin.
19:19 So we talked about the sunscreen.
19:21 We talked about the CC cream, graphic liner.
19:25 I think the only thing that's left to talk about
19:28 is our lips.
19:28 Right now, I'm wearing a really muted pale pink lip
19:31 because I'm wearing that really dark blue
19:33 or bright blue liner, but typically in the summer,
19:36 you guys know I love my orange lips,
19:38 and my favorite orange lip at the moment
19:40 is a Wet n Wild lip stain.
19:43 These just came out.
19:45 I'm going to have a review for them next week,
19:48 and these are called Wet n Wild
19:50 Vicious Varnish High Shine Lip Stains.
19:54 Basically, the glossiest, most staining stain,
19:59 lip stain that I've ever tried.
20:02 I'm not a fan of lip stains.
20:04 This is probably one of the few that I'm willing to use.
20:06 It is super, super incredibly glossy.
20:09 You can tell the swatches are already on my hand
20:12 from the video that I filmed, but you can see.
20:15 It's super, super, super glossy, and it actually stains.
20:19 The best part is when the stain fades,
20:22 it gives you a my lips but better pinkiness to it.
20:27 This is in the color Voguing Madness.
20:30 That is it for my summer essentials, you guys.
20:31 I really hope you enjoyed it.
20:33 I will have a list of all of these products,
20:35 including prices, in the description box below
20:38 just so you guys can get a better idea
20:40 of what I'm talking about or where you could find them.
20:43 Like I told you guys in my introduction,
20:45 go check out Sam.
20:46 I have no idea what her summer essentials are,
20:49 but I'm actually very curious to see,
20:51 so go check her out.
20:53 Let her know that I sent you, and I think that's it.
20:56 If you guys found this video useful, entertaining,
20:58 or learned something, please give me a thumbs up
21:00 or subscribe if you haven't already,
21:02 and until next time, this coffee break is over.
