00:02 Today's video is going to be a first impression on the new Benefit mascara.

00:05 This one is the roller lash.

00:07 So basically this is supposed to be a really curling mascara.

00:10 It doesn't claim to be super lengthening or volumizing, but it's supposed to hold the

00:14 curl of your lashes all day long.

00:16 So that's what we will be testing out today.

00:18 My last Sephora order, I got a sample size, which fortunately it doesn't have the cute

00:23 top packaging, like the full size.

00:26 Still the same mascara.

00:27 So we will be trying this out today.

00:29 I'm going to start by applying one coat on one eye, so we will see how it looks like.

00:34 So this is what the wand looks like.

00:36 There's a little bit of a curve and it's a plastic wand, so we will see how it applies

00:40 on my lashes.

00:41 By the way, I have naturally really long lashes.

00:48 They're just really, really straight, which sucks.

00:52 But if it's curling, it should be good.

00:57 Okay, so that's what one coat.

00:59 I feel like my lashes are going in a crazy direction, but it does seem to want to curl

01:03 my lashes.

01:04 So I'm going to try to apply a coat the other side.

01:06 Hopefully my lashes aren't so crazy.

01:12 I like that it's not a super wet formula.

01:14 It feels like it's freshly opened, but it's almost like sticky.

01:18 So it really adheres to my lashes.

01:21 So this is one coat.

01:22 As you can see, this eye went a little crazy, but it seems to give me a little bit more

01:27 of a curl, which I appreciate.

01:29 This gave me a little bit of length and volume, so we'll see how two coats looks like.

01:34 It seems to dry really quickly on my lashes because I feel like it's a little bit dry

01:38 when I'm trying to apply a second coat, but in a good way.

01:41 And this is what two coats looks like.

01:43 The first impression, I feel like it caked up really quickly.

01:46 I feel like I didn't have that much, but it looks like I have...

01:50 From up close, it looks a little dry, a little clumpy.

01:53 There's a few lashes that are sticked together, but it's really not bad whatsoever, and I

01:58 think I really like it.

01:59 I feel like it gives me...

02:01 It almost looks like I'm wearing false eyelashes.

02:03 There's a ton of lashes.

02:04 They're really long.

02:05 They're curled.

02:06 I could see myself loving this mascara.

02:08 I kind of hope I don't because it's not a cheap one, but we will test it out at the

02:12 end of the day if it's still curled and if it's smudged or something like that.

02:16 So I'm going to try to not touch my eyes, and I'm just going to clean that up a little

02:19 bit because I have a little bit of mascara, but otherwise it seems really quite great.

02:33 If you like really natural looking lashes, it's probably not the one for you, but I feel

02:37 like even though there's a little bit of clumpiness, as you can probably see, I still like it.

02:49 So I've been wearing this mascara for about eight hours, which is pretty usual for me.

02:53 You're going to be able to see that I haven't had any issues, barely maybe a tiny, tiny

02:59 little bit of smudging, but nothing really.

03:02 I am impressed.

03:03 My eyelashes are still curled.

03:05 They still look pretty intense for something that is just two coats quickly.

03:09 The formula kind of reminds me of the L'Oreal Voluminous Carbon Black when it gets older

03:15 and it's less wet.

03:17 So for $24 US or $29 Canadian, would I repurchase it?

03:22 I don't know, just because I really love drugstore mascara, just because I don't know, they're

03:27 really affordable.

03:28 Like the one from L'Oreal that I just mentioned is $6.

03:31 So I don't know if I would personally purchase it just because my lashes are pretty long

03:35 naturally.

03:37 But if you're looking for a really good curling mascara, I would recommend it.

03:41 If I could get another sample or use a hundred point perk at Sephora for it, I would totally

03:46 do it.
