00:42 We are going to do a fun live on applying false eyelashes because obviously Valentine's
00:47 Day is coming up.
00:48 People like to get a little spruced up and a little bit, I don't know, fancy schmranty.
00:54 And so if you have the desire to wear some false eyelashes out on your date night with
00:59 your hubby, significant other, whoever it is that you go with, girls night, whatever
01:04 you're doing, then I'm going to show you a couple of easy ways to apply false eyelashes
01:10 because a lot of people are super afraid to apply them and so I am just going to show
01:16 you the easier ways to do it.

01:32 Last week I had like the worst migraine all week and I could not shake it and so I'm feeling

01:46 So Justina, I have done a tutorial on magnetic lashes and I did like them.
01:50 I thought that they were nice.
01:52 I only did the half ones.
01:54 I haven't ever done the full length ones so I don't know, I can't give you my opinion
01:58 on the full length ones but the half ones I thought were nice.

02:05 So let me just adjust this a little bit really quick.

02:21 I used my It Cosmetics Superhero liner and I just drew like a really like fine line right

02:30 That's totally optional.
02:31 You do not have to do that.
02:34 But because I am going in with the dark glue, so this is the glue that I will be using and
02:39 it's duo.
02:40 You can get these at Target, Walmart, anywhere.
02:43 I always like to get the dark because it actually dries black instead of clear.
02:50 And so it just for me, it makes my eyelashes feel even more full.
02:55 Whenever I have that, it's totally up to you.
02:57 The one with the pink writing is going to be the dark one so it's going to dry black.
03:01 The one with the blue writing is going to dry clear for you guys.
03:05 The lashes that I'm going to use are my favorite.
03:08 You guys, I have used high end, I have used low end.
03:11 I have used everything in between on eyelashes and I love Ardell lashes.
03:19 I do.
03:20 I love the 110.
03:21 These are really nice because they're natural but at the same time they like, they make
03:26 your lashes look nice and full.
03:29 And thick and dark, they look really nice.
03:32 You can also get the glamour ones.
03:33 The glamour ones are really nice too but if you're a beginner, I would definitely recommend
03:37 doing like the 110 Demi Wispies.
03:41 And this is what they look like.
03:42 And they're just really feathery, really pretty and nice.

03:52 I am due on the 16th and he's still not here.
03:56 I was really like hoping and praying that he would come early and I've had no such luck.
04:01 I have tried everything as far as like I've been doing like squats and walking and all

04:08 I mean I do squats through my whole pregnancy anyway but I just haven't had any luck with
04:13 getting him to come out.
04:14 So just kind of waiting around.
04:17 So first of all I'm going to put a little bit of mascara on.
04:20 I'm going to use the L'Oreal Lash Paradise here.
04:24 Yep, no baby yet Karen.
04:29 So I'm just going to go ahead and coat.
04:32 Just do like a light coat.
04:33 If you put too much mascara on sometimes it can be hard to get those eyelashes in there
04:40 where you want them.
04:41 So I'm just going to put like a nice thin coat.
04:47 And the reason why I do this is because my eyelashes are naturally very light.
04:53 And so you can definitely see a difference.
04:57 If I put like the false eyelashes on and I don't like to put mascara on afterwards, I
05:03 mean sometimes I will depending on if I need to blend them, but for the most part I like
05:09 to put the mascara on first so that they like, they really go in seamlessly with the black
05:15 lashes here.
05:16 Okay, so I'm going to get some tweezers first.
05:23 So the lashes, is it Debra?
05:26 Debra, they're the Ardell the 110.
05:29 And I have them linked up above and I also have them linked down where your guys' comments

05:35 I always get the multi-packs.
05:37 I like to use them even though I can like use one pair of these, if you take care of
05:42 them they're going to last you for a while.
05:45 So you can use, especially if you're not somebody that wears eyelashes every single day, if
05:49 you are just going to wear them like for special occasions or whatever, if you take good care
05:54 of them, I mean you can get like multiple, multiple uses out of them.
05:58 So I'm just going to pull, and this is how they go.
06:01 So just showing you like, if you're looking at them like this way, it's not that lash
06:07 goes here, like when you look at them this way, this lash goes on this eye, this lash
06:12 goes on this eye.
06:14 So, um, Debra no, these are all the 110.
06:21 Dem my wispies, I cannot talk.
06:25 Alright, so first thing that you want to do is you want to go in, Karen no baby yet.
06:32 I'm like, ugh, I wish, but he's due the 16th, so my other, my son came on his due date,
06:40 and so we're going to see if this one makes it to his due date.
06:44 Obviously, I mean honestly you guys, like I can see him like making me wait an extra
06:48 week for him to come.
06:50 So I'm just like crossing my fingers, let's all say a little prayer that he doesn't go
06:54 like way over due date, right?
06:57 So the first thing we're going to do is we're going to measure.
07:00 Now you guys can see, I actually have like a large eye compared to most, but I still
07:05 like to snip these down a little bit.
07:08 And so that is why I always recommend for people to go in and measure just to make sure
07:13 that they're going to be the right length.
07:16 Um, it's alright Stephanie, it's understandable.
07:22 Okay, so here's the lashes, and then what I'm going to do, sorry I'm going to grab this
07:27 mirror so I have it a little bit closer to me.
07:31 But what we're going to do is kind of like tilt our head up, and we're going to look
07:36 back, and we're just going to lay them there.
07:40 Now you can see that just laying them there, like they actually do fit my eye pretty good,
07:48 but I do not like it to be super close in here.
07:53 That's a personal preference, because for me, it just like kind of will irritate my
07:58 eye sometimes, and so I do like to snip off probably, let me see if I can get that to
08:03 focus, like this top little like area there, I just go snip that right off.
08:10 And I just use these kind of scissors right here.
08:14 So, Debra yes, you're going to use glue, and I'm going to show you in just one minute.
08:23 So snip that off, so you can see that I just snipped off like one little edge there.
08:35 And that's just so that I don't have anything kind of bugging me at the inner corner of
08:40 my eye.
08:42 Now, another thing that makes these so much easier to apply is if you do them in sections.
08:50 Now you can obviously, if you are comfortable with putting glue on there and sticking that
08:55 on your eye, go for it by all means.
08:59 I'm going to show you a way that is going to be a little bit easier for most people,
09:04 user friendly, I'm going to actually go in and I'm going to cut it into three sections.
09:09 So like here, and here, and so like we'll have three equal sections, okay?
09:18 So let me, let me cut them.

09:49 Now if you can see what I did, sorry, right here, is I had snipped them.
09:55 So there's three different sections.
09:56 There's one, two, and three.
09:59 Now, what you want to do is you want to take your glue, and like I said, I use the duo,
10:06 I always use the dark.
10:07 I like the dark because it's going to dry black instead of dry and clear.
10:12 If you want one that's going to dry clear, get the one with the blue writing.
10:16 This one, the one with the pink, is going to dry black.
10:19 So I like it just because it's going to give you like a more full lash line look.
10:24 So even though I'm not using like super full eyelashes, I am going to get that nice full
10:31 eyelash line look because of this.
10:34 So what I do is I actually take a little bit and I stick it on my hand just like that.
10:40 You can stick it on a tray if you don't want it on your hand, you can do it on like the
10:43 little box that it comes in, whatever's easiest for you.
10:49 Sorry you guys, I like forget to breathe every time I get on here.
10:54 So we're going to start on the outer corner and work our way in.
10:58 So that's how I have these set up too.
11:01 Whenever I snipped them, I made sure to put them back in their places where they went.
11:06 And so this outer corner one is the one that we're going to grab.
11:12 And you want to just go through, let me put the glue on.
11:20 So you just need like a tiny bit of glue on there.
11:23 You just kind of like barely run it through there.
11:26 And then this is the most important part, you wait.
11:30 You want to wait until this glue is completely tacky before you go and put it on your eye.
11:35 If you put it on there while it is still super wet, those lashes are just going to start
11:40 like moving around everywhere and it's going to frustrate you and you're going to be pulling
11:45 them on and off the entire time and it's going to drive you crazy, like literally crazy.
11:51 So you just have to wait until it is completely like they're tacky.
11:55 So usually it's probably about like a minute or so that you want to wait.
12:01 Yeah, Debra, it's nice.
12:04 You can get this colored glue, it's kind of like a dark gray.
12:08 Now the one with the blue writing, like I said, that dries clear is a white color.
12:12 So this one's dark gray and it dries black.
12:15 The one that's blue writing is going to be white and it dries clear.

12:26 Because I'm not going to lie, you guys, I am uncomfortable.
12:38 So now what we do is we're going to go in just right here on this outer corner of the
12:46 eye and you want to try to put that right next to the lash line.
12:56 And you sit there and you kind of hold it for just a second.
13:00 And you can see it's going to give me like a little bit of definition there.
13:04 But like I said, I love these lashes because they're nice and natural and fluttery.
13:14 So there's one little piece.
13:18 Now let's move on to the middle section, shall we?
13:22 So again, here is my middle and my glue.
13:26 I'm just going to go in and kind of run it across there.
13:30 You don't want to do too much glue either because then it takes forever for it to get
13:34 tacky or it's going to dry really weird on your eye.
13:38 So you just want like a tiny bit.
13:40 You guys can see that gray on there.
13:43 And then you wait.
13:44 You just have to be patient and wait for it to get to a point where it's tacky so that
13:51 it sticks right onto the, like, right there.
13:54 Like did you see how easy that was for me to put that on?
13:57 And that's because I waited for the glue to get tacky.
13:59 If you go in there with it wet, chances are it's going to stick to the tops of your fingers
14:04 and it's just going to be pulled right back off.
14:07 Or you're going to, like, it's just going to create like a huge mess all over your face.
14:11 So wait.
14:12 That is like my biggest tip ever.
14:14 Wait until it's tacky.
14:16 Oh, thank you, Jennifer.
14:18 Let's see, I only put them.
14:22 Missy, no.
14:23 I go through the whole thing.
14:25 I usually, honestly, for me personally, like I go ahead and put the whole strip on, but
14:30 I'm showing everybody that you can definitely go in and if you cut them into thirds, it
14:35 makes it so much easier to apply them.
14:37 If you have like a hard time applying lashes, this is definitely what you're going to want
14:41 to do.
14:43 So I cut it into three different sections.
14:45 So I did the outer corner.
14:46 I'm going to do the middle and then I'll do the inner corner.
14:52 Yes, Cara, definitely.

15:04 I get questions about it every time I go live because I like literally wear this sweater
15:09 all the time.
15:11 So but I got it at Nordstrom Rack last fall.

15:19 Okay, so we're probably pretty good.
15:21 I'm going to come in close and you can see where my other one was.
15:27 I'm just going to go in and lay this one right next to it.
15:37 Again you just want to get it as close to that lash line as you can.
15:42 Now for me, whenever I start going in, I do need to use tweezers to go in there and just
15:48 kind of make sure that they're flush and like sitting against the eyelid.
15:53 And you can see I got a little bit of glue there.
15:57 That's totally fine.
15:58 Just let it dry and then you can peel it off.
16:13 There we go.
16:14 So you've got those two little sections right there.
16:19 Easy peasy.
16:20 Now let's do the third one.
16:25 Now for me with the third, because it is the inner corner, I use tweezers.
16:30 You can definitely use your hand as well.
16:34 It's just something that you're going to kind of have to play with and figure out what works
16:37 best for you.
16:39 So again, going in here with the glue.
16:46 And then you just wait.
16:57 Janine, yes I do.

17:25 You can see that they're nice and fluttery and they just kind of add a little bit of
17:29 a flirtiness.
17:31 And then I usually will go in just with mascara at the base and kind of just blend those all
17:36 together a little bit.
17:40 And it looks so pretty.
17:50 If you are going to use tweezers, you guys, that's another thing I want to go over is
17:54 like, I would definitely get this kind that have like the little edge like this versus
18:02 something like this.
18:03 Like that might be kind of scary bringing towards your eye.
18:06 So I would definitely recommend going in with like tweezers that are like this.
18:14 Okay.
18:16 Alright, so next section.
18:21 You want to just like, it's easier for me when I'm like I'm looking in my little mirror
18:25 right here, is how I look.
18:27 I do this and then I kind of lean my head back a little bit and it's really easy for
18:31 me to get into where I need to go.
18:34 So again, and you see how easy that sticks?
18:45 And it's just because you wait for it to get tacky.
18:48 If you wait for it to get tacky, then it's going to stick like a dream and you're not
18:52 going to have to worry about it moving around on you.
19:04 My little boy is out there with my husband and he is throwing a fit about something.
19:10 You guys can hear him in the background.
19:13 So now I want to show you too, like you can see that I had that glue right there, that's
19:16 what color is going to dry, is that black color.
19:20 So it's nice.
19:22 And then I like to kind of just go in and make sure to press them all right there.
19:30 Let me see if I can get this glue really quick.
19:45 See and then that glue just comes right off.
19:48 Just scrape it a little bit and you're good.
19:50 Then I'm going to go in with my Lash Paradise again.
19:59 And just down here at the base, just kind of wiggle.
20:05 Now you can definitely take the mascara up through here if you're wanting to.
20:10 If you want like thicker, more dramatic looking lashes, like you can see how long and curled
20:18 they are.
20:21 Let me get some on my bottom eyelashes really quick because I feel naked without it.
20:36 Debra yes, you don't have to use liquid eyeliner.

20:41 Go ahead and put like a thin line, like you can see that I did a thin line right there.
20:46 That's just personal preference on what you want to do.
20:51 Now like you can see this eye versus this eye.
20:53 And that's just with like those little like 110 Demi Wispies, like I said, these ones

20:59 Now do you guys want me to show you just using like the full strip or do you want me to cut

21:09 How do you take them off?
21:13 Is there a certain way to clean them to wear them again?
21:16 Okay so Rachel, good question.
21:19 Alright so whenever it comes to taking them off in the evening, that is why I really like
21:25 this glue is because it's not super, it's not like super glue.
21:31 So in the evening all I do is I actually just kind of like grab them and I will just kind
21:38 of lightly tug and then they just come right off.
21:41 They'll peel right off or if you're afraid to do that, take some warm water and run your
21:46 fingers under there to heat your fingers up.
21:49 Get warm water and then like squeeze them on the sides and then you just kind of like
21:56 pull and they'll slide right off.
22:01 Alright so let me show you on the other eye using just like a full strip.
22:07 So again, what you want to do, so we take these, let me get my little mirror here.
22:23 So here we want to take them and we just want to lay them on top and just kind of see how
22:33 the fit is first.
22:35 That's the first thing that you always want to do whenever you try lashes on or anything
22:39 is you always want to make sure that the fit is right.
22:42 Now you can see that my eyes are big.
22:45 I have big eyes and so these fit well but I still like to cut off the first little,
22:52 let me show you.
22:56 Like if you can see all of these little, how the lashes are, they have like little spaces
23:03 in between.
23:04 I always cut off that first one right there so that I don't have anything digging into
23:08 the inner corner of my eye.
23:10 I do not like that.
23:12 Some people are able to wear their lashes like that, I cannot, like they drive me nuts
23:17 throughout the day and so I always go in with little scissors and I just snip that first
23:23 little piece off.
23:27 And again we're using the duo.
23:29 Like I said, if you guys want the one that dries clear, get the duo that has the blue
23:34 writing.
23:35 The one with the pink writing dries black.
23:42 I always just put some on my hand.

24:32 on and that's why I wanted to show you that if you cut them into thirds, it really is
24:36 a lot easier to put them on versus trying to do a full strip like this one.
24:42 And I'm going to show you guys for those who were asking on how I do my full strip too.
24:47 So I'm going to go.

24:55 False lashes are.
24:56 They're just like, they're fun.
24:58 Especially if you have like a wedding or I mean you're going out on a fancy date for
25:03 Valentine's Day or whatever you're doing.
25:06 They're just, they're fun to have.
25:10 And they just add that little bit of oomph to a look.
25:13 You know what I mean?
25:15 Make your eyes look nice and sexy.
25:22 Alrighty.
25:26 Okay.
25:30 So, I have my little tweezers ready.
25:37 And then what I do, like I said with the other ones, I have my mirror and the easiest way
25:43 for me to do this is I look in the mirror and I tilt my head back.
25:48 It just gives me like the easiest way to like go in and set my lashes there.
25:53 So again here.
25:57 And I just try to get them as close as I can to that lash line.
26:02 And then what I do is I go in with my tweezers to make sure that these ones here stick nice
26:11 and well.
26:12 Especially right here in the inner corner.
26:15 Because there's nothing worse than false eyelashes that are like digging into your eyes.
26:21 Especially in the inner corner.
26:25 Now go in and I just kind of pinch and then I make sure to like put them right up against
26:32 the skin here.
26:36 Just like that.
26:39 But whenever you tilt your head back to go in and apply them, they apply so nicely and
26:45 it just kind of opens all of that up in order for you to just drop them right on there.
26:55 And then you've got that one on.
27:08 And then you go in with your mascara.
27:15 Open my mirror up again.
27:16 And I always go in just at the base and I just kind of wiggle at the base.
27:27 And then you can kind of run up through here.
27:29 I'm going to go ahead and do that just because I did on the other ones to show you guys.
27:35 Usually I wouldn't.
27:36 And go in with these down here.
27:51 And false eyelashes you guys are so pretty for pictures.
27:55 Have you ever done like just candid pictures and if you have like false eyelashes on and
28:00 you're looking down, your eyelashes are like, they look like a Disney princess eyelashes.
28:08 You know what I mean?
28:09 Like they're just so like full and thick and black and so pretty.
28:20 So there you go you guys.
28:22 It took my eyes from kind of wah wah to this.
28:27 And this is how they look close up.
28:30 I love them because they do.
28:31 They just look like, they're like natural lashes.
28:35 Now if you do ever have problems with, if you do ever have problems, say that they,
28:44 you do the three sections and maybe you're having problems because you're seeing the
28:49 lash band.
28:51 What you want to do is go in with like your little eyeliner, pen, you can use a gel eyeliner,
28:57 whatever you want to use.
28:59 But again you want to go back, like tilt your head back and then you just want to go and
29:04 kind of dot right over the top.
29:08 And it will conceal the band so that those lashes look like yours and not like false
29:20 eyelashes.
29:22 So again head back and you just want to go in right on top of that band.
29:38 Just to darken it up even more.
29:40 And there you go.
29:41 So that is that.
29:48 I am like super shiny right now.
29:50 Holy smokes.
29:51 I have like oily hormones right now I guess.
29:53 Holy smokes.
29:55 So that, let's see, the eyeliner I used is the It Cosmetics The Superhero liner and it's
30:02 just one of those liner pens.

30:08 It's like an 18 hour wear pen and so it like doesn't budge.
