00:00 Hi guys, welcome back to my channel.
00:06 Recently I posted a photo on Instagram of the kind of things that I use in my everyday
00:11 summer makeup and skincare routine.
00:13 And asked if you guys wanted to see a tutorial for it.
00:16 It was quite well received so here it is.
00:19 If you're interested to see how I do my everyday makeup, something that I go to if I'm in a
00:25 bit of a pinch or I'm running out of time, this is what I do.
00:31 Surprisingly it's been quite sunny the last week, two weeks, which is amazing for British
00:35 weather but I think something that's not talked about enough is SPF and skin protection because
00:42 you do only have one face so you really want to look after it.
00:45 It has got to last your whole lifetime.
00:48 And recently I've been using the Hawaiian Tropic Silk Hydration Face Protective Sun
00:52 Lotion with SPF 30.
00:54 This provides 12 hour moisturisation and protection from UVA and UVB rays.
01:00 So first I'm going to take that and put one pump, plenty.
01:06 And I really really like this because it's not greasy, it sinks in quite quickly and
01:12 if like me you get a little bit warm and sweaty your face doesn't drip off.
01:20 In terms of priming my face I want to keep it quite light but I want something that my
01:23 makeup can stick to and it's not going to slide during the day.
01:26 So I'm going to be using the MAC Prep + Prime Fix Plus.
01:33 Now we're ready to start applying our products.
01:34 I'm going to be using the Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation.
01:38 I'm in the shade 52 Vanilla.
01:40 It is a little bit too dark for me and I think during the winter months this is going to
01:45 be too orange for me.
01:50 But right now I'm loving it and I really love the finish it gives me.
01:53 It's a little bit chewy but not too much and it's a medium but definitely buildable coverage.
01:58 So I'm going to take one pump of this onto my finger.
02:02 It's probably too much.
02:05 I'm just going to apply that to my face with my finger.
02:23 Because it is slightly orange I'm going to take it down my neck just a little bit.
02:27 And I'm going to use my damp beauty blender to pounce that out.
02:38 So that's one thin layer.
02:39 I'm going to do a bit more around my mouth and a little bit underneath my eyes but I'm
02:43 going to save that mostly for the concealer.
02:46 Now I'm going to take the Bourjois Healthy Mix Concealer and I'm going to apply that
02:49 under my eyes.
02:50 Well for my eyes to conceal this redness and a little bit around my mouth.
02:54 I've got a few blemishes so I'm just going to cover those up.
03:00 Now our base is complete I'm going to use a little bit of the Bourjois Bronzing Primer
03:05 Base just to do a slight contour but not very much.
03:09 Just enough to warm up my face.
03:11 I love the smell of this.
03:12 So I'm just going to use my ring finger and I'm going to dip it in that very very gently.
03:18 I'm going to follow the top of my ear down to my mouth.
03:24 I'm only going to go about half way and then I'm going to do some serious blending.
03:29 Do you see that?
03:39 Now I'm going to set my foundation just to make sure it's got a little bit of extra staying
03:43 power and I'm going to use the Elf Tone Correcting Powder.
03:46 I'm using this quite large Real Techniques Multi-Tasking Brush and I'm going to take
03:50 just the yellow colour and put it underneath my eyes to prevent any creasing.
03:56 Make sure obviously there are no creases before you start.
03:59 Remember to keep looking up.
04:04 The other thing about the Bourjois Concealer which I used underneath my eyes is it kind
04:07 of goes from a cream to a powder finish.
04:10 In a way it's good in a way it's not.
04:12 Some people would say that it's just going to sit in your crease but it doesn't.
04:15 This is also just going to really help to brighten your under eyes.
04:18 Next I'm going to take the same brush, the same powders and I'm going to swirl the brush
04:21 all around.
04:22 I'm going to pick up a little bit of each colour.
04:26 Tap off the excess and just work this through your T-zone.
04:28 Anywhere that you particularly get oily is really going to help make your makeup stay.
04:35 Now I'm going to move on to blush.
04:36 This is something else that's been in my favourites recently and that is the Nars Orgasm Blush.
04:41 I'm going to be taking this on the B blush/contour brush.
04:45 I really like this because it's angled, it helps you get and it's just the right size
04:48 to fit the apple of your cheek.
04:49 So we're going to swirl it around in there.
04:52 Tap off the excess and follow the line of our cheeks.
05:03 Next on to eyes.
05:04 I have been really loving the Maybelline Colour Tattoos.
05:08 This is the shade 5 Eternal Gold and I've been using this as a base.
05:13 So I'm going to take my ring finger again and I'm just going to put this all over my
05:16 lid.
05:17 I like to take this just up above my crease because the next shadow I'm using is a powdered
05:30 one and I just want to give it something to stick to.
05:35 The palette that I will be using is out of this Mineralize palette by MAC and this is
05:40 Mix and Switch Mineralize eyeshadows.
05:42 I'm not sure which colour it is but I'm going to be using this orangey copper colour.
05:47 I'm going to take the Real Techniques Essentials Crease brush and I'm just going to swirl that
05:51 around this darker coppery colour.
05:57 Tap off the excess and then I'm going to run this through the crease about half to three
06:01 quarters of the way in.
06:07 This is going to add depth and colour.
06:09 I don't, depending on how defined you want your eyes, depends on how much product you
06:13 put on.
06:14 So start light and build it up to the kind of intensity that you want.
06:21 Blend this out until you are happy.
06:23 This looks a lot more orange on camera than it actually is but it's going to have to do.
06:31 To line my eyes I'm going to be using the Liner Fitter by Bourjois in this brown shade.
06:37 I have been doing a bit of a flick but today I think I'm going to keep it quite simple.
06:40 I'm just going to do a thinner line into a thicker line on the outside corner.
06:53 I'm going to go ahead and do my eyebrows.
06:54 I'm going to use the Maybelline Draw Satin in Medium Brown.
07:10 I'm going to take the Touche Eclat and I'm going to use this as my brow highlight and
07:14 across my cupid's bow.
07:15 To finish off my eyes I'm going to be using the Thick and Fast Mascara by Soap and Glory.
07:44 I'm not a huge fan of curling my lashes because I find it could be the curlers I've got, it
07:49 could be the technique I'm using but it always seems to take off my eye makeup when I squeeze
07:54 them together so I forgo them altogether.
08:00 And last but not least, our lips.
08:02 I'm going to be using the Fruit Cocktail Lip Pencil by MAC and the Body Shop Lipstick in
08:07 number 6.
08:08 This for me is a go-to nude.
08:10 I've almost used it up.
08:11 I'm going to first go in with the lipstick and then I'm going to line afterwards.
08:17 Bear with me.
08:21 And if you just smudge your liner down into the lipstick.
08:39 And that is the finished look.
08:43 Optional I have been using the Avon Bronzer Curl with a big kabuki brush and just dusting
08:50 this across my chest.
08:58 Well this is my finished summer look.
09:15 I hope you liked it.
09:17 If you did please remember to like, comment, subscribe and hopefully I'll see you guys
09:22 again soon.
09:23 Bye!
